How many peanut knives do you own?

I only own one peanut, and even though it could be a little more jigging, I'm becoming attached to it for little chores. Already thinking about getting another one.

I'm back down to 2 of them again. I keep giving the yella ones away when someone admires it because it reminds them of their grandpa's knife. I've given one to my grandson Ryan, one to my nephew Mark, one to a just married young fella outside an IKEA furniture store who got all misty eyed when I loaned him a knife to cut some of the cord they have on spools. Some idiot had swiped the scissors they had tied to the role, and he and his new bride were loading stuff for their nest. I told him to keep it as a wedding present. I keep meaning to get another yella one. I'm done to a chestnut and an amber bone damascus.

I believe I have 7 right now (I think). I have a Northwoods stag, an ivory AG Russell, Case yellow CV, Case select stag, Case red bone, Case blued CV, Case Damascus. Steven

Do you still carry as religiously as always?

I have a few but also gave away some of them. I had a USA made Old Timer pocket pal that went to a good home, a few peanut RR in bone that are going to my groomsmen at my upcoming wedding and of course my case chestnut that gets carried sometimes. A Victorinox soldier keeps bumping it out of my pocket, I think because I live sort of away from town and a few Km's from any significant society and by the ocean. I would hate to see it rust away because of my silliness.

I don't know. Kabar, Queen, Ulster or is it Camillus, Amber Bone Damascus and a few other Case knives with different slabs.

That's a really nice Yellow CV Peanut you are going to be getting. It'll look similar to one my Grandpa-in-law had. ;)

I own four right now... maybe there will be more in future

CASE Yellow Delrin CV
CASE Chestnut Bone CV
ULSTER Synthetic handles (broken ice acrylic)
KaBar Brown jigged Delrin

... once there was one more, but I gave it to a great guy from our crowd... it seems he likes it ;)

I have three. Here they are in the order I purchased them:

CASE Redbone CV

CASE Chestnut CV (black coated)

CASE Stag Damascus

I have a Ka-bar in brown jigged Delrin, a gift from Pete (Stich2442) :)

Four, currently (all CASE):

  • 1970 in stag (5220)
  • 1940-64 in yellow synthetic (3220)
  • A 'BIG NUT' 5-blade, in stag (1996 SFO, serialized & engraved, 5520 SS, with clip, spey, scissors, pen and coping blades)
  • Most recently, a CV in Chestnut Bone (6220 CV)

I have 5 stag peanuts, but I would have to dig thru my knife rolls to get an exact number somewhere between 20 and 30. One rides in my jeans pocket every day.

have you guys noticed a change in the color of the handle from the time you've had it? from in and out of the pocket to light hitting it and everyday use?

Just the one for me....a great guy from our crowd gifted.

It's a Case Blue Jigged Bone SS.
Takes a wicked scalpel like edge.

Wasn't sure if I'd be a fine of such a tiny knife, and I confess I struggled to accept it as more than just a novelty.....but it really grows on me each time I use it.

What's more it does one very special thing for a knife fan; it gives you a great excuse to carry a second (larger) knife along with it :)

Three Case and an A.G.Russell. And a GEC Pemberton, which is kinda like a Peanut. I really like small knives.
