How many people here own a Sebenza?

A large Tanto and a large Woodie! Love them. Best locking system on the market and EXTREMLY WELL MADE!!!

Small plain stonewashed --- gift from a buddy on the forums who couldn't stand to see me without one !! Great guy and great knife ! Thanks HSN. :)

Large Classic. For me it's as near to perfect as I expect to find.

Hi John,

I've had a large standard Sebenza (with anodized thumb stud and spacer) for about 2 weeks now. I ordered it from the Knife Center of the Internet.

Great knive! I'm really impressed with the quality.

MAN!!! I really didn't expect this many people to respond to this. Or I guess I should say that I didn't think this many people owned Sebbies. Well since so many of you good people responded I will add to the question. Do you carry your Sebbie the most out of all the knives that you have and what do most of you guys usually use them for? I carry my small lefty classic the most by far and I use it for everything that I need to cut. Sometimes I work on a farm and cut all sorts of things with it there or when I do yard work and everything in between. I LOVE my Sebbie and I am saving right now to order a new one with the new S30V blade. I haven't really decided which one I'm going to get yet ;) . Thanks again for all the responses.

Me too, large and plain. Just like that western chick Glenn Close made a TV movie about.

I just saw that you amended you question. I have several high quality folders; SERE 2000, BM 710, SOCOM, etc. but somehow the Sebbie ends up in my pocket. I just haven't found a reason to change. I use it to cut anything that needs cutting, so far mostly just boxes when mail call comes.
I thought I had lost it one time but my girlfriend found it under the bed. The clip had been bent out, I think the maid might have nailed it with the vaccuum. I took it off, bent it back, and we're back in business.

My small Sebbie is my EDC, Umfaan is for dress.
I have other knives that I use for hunting, fishing, etc., but the small Sebbie sees the most use.

John,

An expanded answer to your expanded question. I do carry my large classic now virtually all of the time in addition to a Buck 301 slipjoint that I have carried so long that it gets included in my pockets as naturally as my coins or keys.

I bought my first Sebenza, a large plain last year and carried it frequently on my belt in its G2 sheath in rotation with a few others including a MT LCC and BM710HS.

Over time I came to prefer the Classic over the regular and last week was able to conclude a very satisfying trade with one of our fine forum members for a new large Classic for which he received my large regular with all its "character" and its G2 sheath. Also recently I received a beautiful G2 sheath for one of my all time favorites, a Buck 532.

I now carry my large Classic daily IWB and find it to be comfortable as well as useful in that it is now more convenient to carry one of the others if I so desire.

I have found as so many others have noted that despite having the other knives available it is the Sebenza that I actually use most frequently.

Large and Umfaan, both plain.

I had a 'P' Lg. Seb, but it was too nice to use so I got rid of it. Also had a small, but it was well used and I wanted a large so I traded that one. Now I'm thinking I'll end up buying another small to fill the gap.

I owned a large Sebenza with the Trailing Moon design for around a year. It was an excellent knife, but its aesthetics never quite suited me. I prefer a recurved blade and a more contoured grip. I finally decided that I was going to get a custom that would be closer to my ideal specifications and I sold my Sebenza to help finance the custom.

Some day I would like to own another Sebenza, but I'm not wealthy enough to afford a knife that expensive that *isn't* one of my EDCs. <sigh>

My EDC consists of a small CGG (Line Drive) Sebenza that rides in a G2 sheath. I also carry a 2000 Umfaan in my front left pocket to complete my EDC.

The small unique design w/pearl inlay resides in the safe. I hope to pick up another Sebenza or ______ at the Blade Show....
