How many per day?

Depends. Usual day, walking around like a normal person: one folder.

Full kit I'll have my leatherman and Emerson La Griffe on my chest rig. Sometimes I'll have a larger fixed blade too.

At least three, right now I have a HEST 2.0 right front, Emerson CQC 7V left front, a Vic mini champ SAK in with my change and I always have a multitool on my belt currently a Gerber Military issue 600. If I go out into the woods I would have more and there are more in the truck and my pack.

Sometimes I carry as many as 7 when I am at work. I carry my BK13 on my dogtags, my Manix 2 in my RFP, my SAK farmer in my RRP w/ a pair of sliver grippers tweezers attached, a Delica clipped in my left calf pocket, my SOG powerassist on my belt, and recently I have been slipping my recently purchased Buck Packlite skinner (w/KSF pocket sheath) into my jacket pocket. I also have a leatherman style CS on my keychain. When I am not at work I usually carry my Manix 2 and either my Soddie Jr or SAK farmer. The Buck only goes along if I am wearing a jacket or I know I will need a fixed blade. The SOG also finds its way onto my belt I am going to be tackling some work around the house. Yes during my work day I do find a use for most of those knives. The Manix 2 is my go to main blade, the saw on the SAK is indespesable removing over tightened PVC fittings from couplings (I am a plumbing instructor you have no idea how many times a week I have to do this), The SOG PA's needlenose pliers are great for reaching into tight places and the screw drivers keep me from having to walk back and forth to the tool box all day long. When I am sitting at my desk or in my truck the Delica is much easier to access. The rest I just carry because I can.

I'll be carrying a 4" folder with a neck knife and/or Scrapyard 511 with an IWB band sheath. I could definitely get by with just the folder, but I'm interested in seeing how the other two blades will work out for EDC.

I almost always have my case large cv trapper, but if I am gone all day to town I will carry a one hander (usualy a benchmade bone collector) a case swayback jack and that trapper also. When I go to the river I will leave my one hander home and bring my buck 112, case trapper, and case barlow along in my my bag. And I carry a leatherman juice with me when I go fishing, or out riding four-wheelers shooting etc.
Yes I know I am a very very sick man.

it varies. Today in the cold, I am easily carrying an

Old timer
Leatherman
swiss spartan
Spydie Endura(edc)
Benchmade Barrage(defense)

At least 14.
17 when I think I might be in a tight spot.

I usually carry 1-3 ( usually a modern one hander, Traditonal slipjoint, and a keychain knife which is most likely my Spyderco F/S h1 Ladybug) on a regular day however when I'm out hunting and woodsbummin' I will carry a small folder of just about any kind, a medium sized fixed blade and then a chopper of some sort .

Another newly converted knife knut here, so my options are limited at the moment. Been carrying a Bucklite MAX 486 coz it's lighter than the 110 but still suits my big paws. It's going to get some stiff competition from the Spyderco Tenacious that arrived this morning though. Currently wearing both, one either side on the waistband of my jeans. :)

It's clear I need to look at some kind of SAK though and a Leatherman Charge ALX is on the wishlist for the not too distant future. Do I need any of them? Probably not, although I have found myself using them since I started carrying, but mostly I just like having them close. There may or may not be others in my bag that follows me pretty much everywhere.

Going camping with the family this weekend will probably see the Buck Vanguard and 110 given some work to do as well.

I like knifes, and so do Dorito Monk:D. I carry 3, or maybe it's more like 2 1/2. One is a larger single bladed, locking, one-hand opener, pocket clipped, knife....alright, a tactical knife, as that probably sums it up better than anything else I could say. The second one is a slipjoint, and the third is a knife blade found in the Leatherman Juice II I carry. I'm just one of those knife knuts that like to carry their toy's!:)

That's cool if it makes you happy. But if I ever get checked by the police, about as likely as being struck by lightning, I can make it work. I have a firesteel on my keychain and one folder on me or neck knife, they correlate because I bush tromp\fish a lot. So I can justify my carry. Now if I looked like a homie, had pants hanging half off my ass and a backward ball cap etc. Being checked in the city with a few folders wouldn't fly around here. As long as you look like the generic guy next door you can probably carry whatever you like. BUT... if you ARE frisked for whatever reason it's easier to justify one folder. Just how I see it.

I can understand Bolting 14 of these together as an EDC. What I don't understand in what Bolts to use for bolting together 17. :D

Carry a small fixed blade (CRK Pro Soldier) and a Leatherman (Super Tool) Most of anything with those two combos....of course a flashlight....and a handgun.....and a....... I need bigger pockets or a larger belt...

Around the house, usually just my brown FRN FFG Endura, and /or my 2 blade slip-joint trapper. Outside the house I add on a Cold Steel 5" Voyager.

Two, sometimes three.

I usually have a Vic Classic on my keychain, a Leatherman CS4 in my left pocket, and some sort of one-handed locking folder clipped on my right side.

Sometimes I substitute a Swisschamp for the Classic/Leatherman combo.

It varies for me between 1-3.
(Can't CCW because I'm only 18)

I will usually carry an EDC knife and my SAK. And when I'm in shorts I will sometimes have a SOG Seal Pup or a Gerber LMF II. Recently my EDC has been my Benchmade Griptilian and my Tac has varied from the Cold Steel Spartan to the SOG Trident, and sometimes the Cold Steel Ti-Lite VI.

Just started collecting knives in October of 2011, haven't looked too much into custom knives, ESEE, or Strider yet. Lack of funds :grumpy:

Been eyeing up this knife for a possible EDC...
