No idea how people carry and use these knives and they stay pristine.![]()
. . . and chocolate cake loves YOU Nautique.I love chocolate cake.
Hey . . . bananas are a lot harder to cut than you might first imagine . . . don't you remember that thread back in the day where the guy was cutting a banana from a bunch and almost died . . . or . . . something like that ? Who has a link ?
Oh and there was a photo wasn't there to help us understand the technical difficulties involved in banana bunch surgical standards.
I got this one. Lemme grab my EDC out of the safe and take a pic. They slice bananas.
We've been over this
Try to keep up
what ! Do you need a picture or something

Thought this thread could use a knife pic.
Edit: For @noway, this is a Spyderco Manix 2 Knifeworks Exclusive in 52100

OK- I should probably change my name to Old Curmudgeon, but really how many pictures of everyone's knives do we need to see in a thread like this? Does anyone actually got through 14,000 plus posts to see what everyone else owns? I think people are just posting here as some form of ego gratification (forum-bation if you will). If someone wants to show their latest acquisition or how cool their collection is, why don't they post it in a subject-specific forum (latest purchase, smoothest flipper, best steel, etc.) and be done with it. Don't threads run out of steam at some point; can't we just make this a sticky?
That thread is too funny. I had to stop part way in and rest . . . hahahhaha . . . I'm weak from laughing.I keep that thread linked in my signature,
I hear you, excessive knife photo posting is the worst.

I don’t mind the pics. I have bought knives I would never thought about buying due to someone posting a pic.
What drives me crazy are the band spanking new $500+ knives posted in the “what are you carrying” threads. No idea how people carry and use these knives and they stay pristine.![]()
I do roll my eyes sometimes when I see a forum member use a $500 knife to cut up a banana and talk about how great of a slicer it is. =)
.
I really like the way your knife looks with the back ground you chose.
you know what might be even better ? If you would throw the photo away and just describe it to me in every detail in text

?
It's just a matter of time : a chip in your knife with a motion sensor among other things. Every cut is documented for angle, force applied, duration, atmospheric pressure, ambient temperature, user temperature and pulse (oh why not add blood pressure as well), forward and aft video recorders to capture it all and GEO satellite position on the planet (this one at first but others such as mine can be added over time).
At the end of the day plug in, down load and share in the forum.
Now does that top an irritating knife photo with an interesting back ground or what ?
