So far I only have 7 - in chronological order:

The very most of them are presents from my friends forumites :) if I were to buy them I should have spend a few years saving :(

I hate to admit it, but only one so far, the Calypso Jr. in VG-10. I love the little knife. Pure cutting perfection in a lightweight package. Why the public never really caught on to its greatness I don't know.

But there are a few that I want to get as finances and opportunity allow. Namely:

Chinook PE
Lum Chinese PE
Kiwi PE
Military PE
Moran
Mouse PE

These are in no particular order. They aren't the only ones I want, just the ones I want most. :)

You guys have some great collections of spydies! I see a lot of knives that are no longer production. Did you buy these after they were discon't, or have you been collecting that long?


Also, excuse the ignorance, but what does "FRN" stand for?

At last count I had 45 of them.

Some of the rarer ones are a R, a Q with the solid blade
(no cut out design) and a plain edge Wegner Jr.

Mouse and Navigator, used to have a delica, and will get another in vg-10....the Navigator may go soon since the Mouse covers all the ground that the nav does.... only better.

"FRN" stands for "Fiber Reinforced Nylon" which is the polymer that Spyderco uses for their black "plastic" handles.

steve-in-kville, I wouldn't necessarily call it collecting, in my case, more like accumulating, and if some of those I've accumulated are later collector's items, then that's cool. I've been a Spyderco 'accumulator' for a long time.
