How many think you could...

I've EDC'ed my FRN/Delica and SAK for a year, but then, I tend to carry multiple blades. Those have just stayed constant. I believe my BM MiniGrip is also in about the same time frame. I enjoy the collecting side as well, and the fun for me, is finding something to replace the "constants". I recently bought a Delica 4 but the Delica 3 replaced my Camillus Blaze:) It could get VERY interesting is I lay my hands on a ZDP Delica.......

I guess it's a factor of the number of "youngsters" on BFC that so few respondents passed the 10 yr. mark. I've carried the big Vic ( Champion/SwissChamp) for almost 35 yrs. (yes, even dressed in a tuxedo for my son's wedding this past weekend......one of 8 that were on me, plus a snubbie S&W). You get to the point where the latest fad has a diminshed importance, I guess.......;)
I suppose there was a time when I only carried one knife, but it's so far in the past as to be forgotten, frankly.

I carried a Buck Stockman for years while in school (yes, high school and later collage, shows my age right), after that I carried a Nice little Kershaw for a couple of years. I carried a William Henry for 5 years until I busted the blade (not a great pry bar). Now I have more knives, but I tend to have two, one for weekends and another for weekdays. Steven

My very EDC was for a few years a SE VG-10 Delica. I carried it 85% of the time. I have many other knives, but I kept coming back to my trusty Delica so I think yes I could EDC a single knife for a long time (I just don't want to).

Already do it... well, kinda. I carry the same FOUR knives every day.

By the way, you are not the Last Confederate. You have lots of company, Bubba, including my fat butt.

I've carried an older model Gerber EZ-Out - which I recieved from my father when he passed away. Not sure how much he carried but I've carried it Every Day for well over a year now.

I keep it sharp as hell and along w/ the serations is what I want when I need a blade.

However, I am looking for something more - something along the lines of an Emerson w/ the "wave" technology.

I've done numerous drills w/ my Gerber... just in case the skat hits the fan, but I want something that comes out of my pocket ready for action.

Edit - As soon as my Hideaway knife comes... that will be an addition to my gerber... and that more then likely would be what I would use in a crazy situation.

Everything I've heard about the Hideaways are great... from local LEO's to Quiet Proffesionals oversea's -- they all love um!

I can, and have.

That Spyderco/Walker is pretty nice... Check out the Boker/Walker. :D

Yeah puukkoman, I love the "Skywalker", but I don't own one.

I bought my first Spydie/Walker at the NYCKS in 1998. Michael Walker was at the show and I asked him what knife he was carrying, it was a "Skywalker". I asked him why and he said, "Because it was free". He had made one modification to the knife he had taken off the thumb stud, and opened the knife by using the extension off the tang of the blade.

I think I owe myself a Skywalker one of these days.

I have EDC a SAK Classic for something like 6+ yrs. when I was in school...
before that, maybe a couple 2 yr stints of EDC with old slipjoints or something...
during and after college, EDC a SAK signature (or whatever the small one with the ballpoint is).
Been carrying a Minichamp EDC for 4+ yrs now. added a SAK Bantam about 8 months ago so I could have toothpick, large blade and combo tool.
I like the combo very much. Handles 99% of tasks I have encountered in office environment. (if they aren't suitable, then I reach into my laptop bag and grab the multipliers) And being SAKs, the sheeple don't freak if they happen to see me using one.

Outside of work, I usually add a BM minigrip or Caly Jr.

Until recently, with the airline restrictions, I think I have carried a pocketknife almost everyday since I was in the 3rd grade. So around 25 yrs.
Only started collecting last year, can you believe it? :)

...go an entire year and EDC the same knife for that year? :D

Well, I consider myself naked if I leave the house without my Vic Rucksack. Been carrying that one virtually every day for three years or so. Before that it was a Vic Super Tinker. EDC'd that one since the early 1990's. I've carried a Gerber Paraframe I and a Spydie Endura FRN instead of the SAK maybe a half-dozen times in the past couple of years. It didn't feel right. A simple folder, no matter how great, just does not have the functionality of a SAK.

So I always have a folder and a multitool riding in my laptop bag.

I also have a Spydie Ladybug and a Leatherman Squirt S-4 on my keychain, so they'd qualify for your question too :).

Ive carried a BM AFCK for 4 years and a 710 for almost 3... but nowadays (with over 20+) that would be hard to do.

I did order a Blackwater 710 Version so we shall see???

I carried SAK for more than two years, but it was the only decent knife I had at that time. I still edc it occasionally.
