How much did your entire collection cost?

The amount I have spent this year is way too much (about 6k). I should curb my addiction, but the forum does not help. I keep reading about knives that I tell myself I must have and I get it. I limit myself to quality pieces. There is way too many good knives and too little money. CRK, Busse, Dozier, and anything ZDP gets my interest right now. By the end of the year, I will add 2 more CRK and a dozier and lum zdp.

I've probably spent $7,500-8,000 on the knives I have right now, but I'd value most of them well more.

Probably less than $600 as many of them were gifts, freebies, found or even purchased second hand.

To replace 'em all I'd be spending somewhere around $1200.

Adding guns and Knives together and its all just a blur to me...

I am guessing I own about 80,000 dollars worth or so. I guess 15,000 or so is knives.

My cost on these items is only around 55,000. Many of my guns I have had for over 20 years. They have really gone up. Anybody seen the prices of Nice corrrect M1 garands recently?

I would estimate I have between $1500 and $2000 in knives right now, but that numbers is constantly growing so check back with me next year

I’ve spent about $1000 on knives so far (that number could double quickly), I’ve also spent about the same amount on other cool junk you can get from knife shops (flashlights, sharpening equipment, backpacks etc...)

I have no idea. And if you are adding guns to the mix, I REALLY DO NOT want to think about it!!

over $2,000 spent this year alone so far on knives and sharpeners. Flashlights over $1000 and guns well thats a toughie as I deal in guns but over $20,000 in my personal safe. My wife was cool with this as long as our bills got paid and our vehicles got repaired and she got to reload and shoot.

The spreadsheet that I started in August of 2002 is up to about $ 6,700.

I have been taking knife boxes to work so that when I get new knives in I bring them home in the old boxes and keep the new boxes at work....

Note to self...;)

You know, I tried to add up my EDC once, and then I just stopped. Its been a LOT more than I intended too, though. I've gone from being a collector to being a user, though, so that helps. I have knives that I'll be getting, but I've pretty much decided to only carry and use knives made by people I like and respect- oh, and are good knifemakers. Thus, when I get my current list done, I should be good for a while- except for finding a back-up Buck/Mayo 172 to have just in case.

My wife also reads this forum, so you'd probably never get a firm amount out of me either. Although, it should be noted that it'd cost more to replace my collection than what I've spent on it.

I'd have to say between $4000 and $5000 total, all things considered. It's what I choose to spend my money on more than anything else, and gives me more pleasure than anything else I spend money on. Better way to spend my money than on hookers or gambling!

Somewhere around $100K, all told including vintage Al Mars, William Henry and the higher end productions. By far the lion share of that is in handmade folders.
