What is the total dollar amount of your current knife collection?
Mine is $1350 with 5 spydercos, 1 benchmade, 1 zt, 1 Kershaw, 7 Swiss Army knives and a morakniv.

Is this based on cost or value? You may have spent $1350 but they might not be worth $1350... or vice versa. Which criteria are we using? A collection of production knives might have cost more than it's worth and a collection of old customs might be worth more than it cost...

Is my wife going to see this thread? haha. I have 3 hinderers and one strider sng, around $1790. Crap that's alot of money for 4 knives.

I have about $1,200 in mine, but I just started at the beginning of this year....

Im with onojoe.... probably best not to know. I convinced the home finance committee that it was less expensive than the 1911 pistols I was getting into!

I've told myself that I am done buying knives but I keep finding myself looking at new knives and participating in the forum which only serves to further entice me. My quest began with a kershaw whirlwind 13 years ago. But then I bought a Spyderco native5 eleven months ago and I have purchased 9 knives since.

That would mean I would have to count them.....
Family knives passed down, priceless
Gifted from my parents as a kid, priceless
Gifted from my 2nd wife, priceless
The ones I bought are all over the board on value
I just buy what I like when I can...
Looks like you have a nice selction yourself!

If I wanted a specific number I'd have to add it all up...conservative estimate puts me north of $5K. The majority of my purchases now start at $400. In the grand scheme of things...I'm pretty low on the totem pole for knife knuts.

People got me paranoid now

I would like to know some of your all's actual prices lol.

I keep a fairly low knife count with about 12 or so knives and mine is at around.. 3000

I would be cautious about answering a question like this.

You see, a lot of us post from our mobile devices. And it may be a slim possibility, but it is still possible for an enterprising criminal to locate your house by way of your cellphone's location.

It wouldn't be easy, and I suppose that I may be overly paranoid. My collection is modest, and hardly worth the attention of a thief with that level of sophistication.

I still feel like these kinds of threads need a "public service message". So there you go, just give me a minute to pick up my soap box....

I feel the same way, but for additional reasons. If you've bought knives off the Exchange here and used PayPal, the sellers have your home address. I'm not casting aspersions on fellow forum members, but email gets hacked all the time.

Best to not be too specific on questions like this.

They could find me easily enough I suppose.
That would be too bad...for them. ;)

I don't know how much my knives add up to be, but it's a fair amount.

When I went camping on the weekend, I had about $1300 of knives with me.

I have way more knives than cash. :D
