I've had to rebuild my collection from scratch because I sold everything off to pay off some medical bills. Let me take that back as I did keep 3 or 4 Rough Riders and Hammer Brands, along with my Boker Plus Valkyrie fixed blade. Since this past November I have spent $1500, give or take. I haven't kept every knife purchased, returning 2, and giving away 6 of them. My collection is small and will be small because I have decided on the type of knife I want and that is what I am going after.
I have an order I just placed with shipping via Priority Mail so it should be here in 2 or 3 days. This was a large order at $515, and included; Spyderco Vallotton, BM275BK Adamas, Kershaw Camp 10, and ten different zip up knife pouches. One other knife I ordered was for my cousin, who has had me at his house since the middle of October. He just bought a Harley Davidson Softtail, so I got him a BM Hardtail Axis Lock folder, the large model. Ca.'t wait to give it to him. Anyway, thats where i'm at in my collection. With the exception of a small, around a 4" bladed fixed blade, I will start looking to replace 3 or 4 custom folders.

If I had up what I spent on those over the years, if these can be counted for this discussion, I'd say a bit over $20K I think. This is just mostly kitchen knives and swords mind you.
