How much snark could a snarksnark snark if a snarksnark could snark snark?

We may be changing the Snark thread to the Ass Dew thread.

I'm glad I finally made a contribution around here!

Here's my last comment on miserable job hell. There was a study done about a year ago (I believe the Freakonomics authors had something to do with it) where they tracked people who were considering quitting their jobs but were worried about their prospects if they did.

The ones who ultimately stayed in their jobs were (not surprisingly) still miserable and in the same situation. The ones who quit their jobs were in general significantly happier with their lives. However, the study was about the general trend. The story I heard about it did not discuss specific cases where someone quit a job and maybe didn't find a new one.

So consider this, Warrior. You've been driving deliveries for a while now. So if you do quit and end up not finding a job you like, you can always go back to driving deliveries for someone else. That may not be the job you want, but it is probably one you can get again.

Job hunt while you've still got a job. It makes you a more attractive candidate. And on your resume where it says "Personal Interests," maybe don't list all your Beckers.

I wouldn't quit before finding another job. I have been looking. Not a lot out there these days, unless you're educated for something specific.

So my smoked steelhead turned out awesome!
No hint of ass dew at all...maybe a little swamp-assy, but definitely not dewey with the ass.

IBTL!!

Ray is almost 70???

Holy crap I never would have guessed.:D

Dubz, I hope you are able to find a change for the better soon.

I'm getting near that point with my job. Although my boss asked me recently if I would be interested in going to some advanced training for a few days. The fact that I could probably take that training elsewhere and make twice my current wage makes me want to stick it out for a while.

I just don't want to spend my working years stuck on a slab.

Well, I finally got the BK4 video published. For some reason some features were missing from Windows Movie Maker, most importantly the ability to speed up footage which would have been very handy in this instance. The video turned out to be 50 minutes long so feel free to fast forward or skip ahead if you even bother to watch it. Nothing revolutionary there anyway, just video of me using it same as any of you would do. I think Youtube has an editing tool so I'll probably go back and try to compress it some as well as add annotations since I didn't explain what I was doing for the most part.

It works great by the way. You should get a couple.

Bigghoss, do you have a link to this video?

I'm thankful for what I have, but that's not the point. I'm miserable because of what I have to get up and go to everyday. I was talking to a co-worker of mine, and she works 2 jobs. She was telling me how much she hates working at the place I do. That on her other job, she gets off, and she's done with it, but the job we share, she takes it home with her every night and hates it. I mean in her mind.

Man, that super sucks Warrior. If you are looking for other jobs or need ideas to spruce up your resume or whatever, I just read "What Color is Your Parachute" which is a pretty good book. It has great advice for those looking for jobs in this crazy job market. Regardless, I hope things look up for you soon.

Also, if any of y'all are interested, Cameron and I made a Youtube video about exploring rural Oregon!
