how off center is too off center

Meh...it just depends. It used to drive me crazy but not so much anymore. For example, I'm a fan of the Buck Vantage line. I was carrying a Vantage Avid with a blade that rubs the liner. It used to bug me. Then I dropped the knife while open on concrete and dinged up the tip. That same day I caught the pocket clip on my seat belt getting of my car and bent the clip all to hell. I bent the clip back and fixed the tip. The knife opens and closes just fine and I don't much worry about the blade centering anymore. I do expect higher-end production and custom folders to be centered.

That sums it up for me. If my high dollar midtechs and customs aren't centered we have a problem.

IMO if it is 55-45, 60-40 then we are all good. It looks centered, but upon closer inspection it is slightly off. Anything more and I would be concerned.
