How often do you carry a different knife?

I know some guys that never carry the same knife for more than two days in a row and one that even matches his edc to his outfit that day. Myself, I carry the same knife almost constantly, for weeks and weeks on end. I've had the Benchmade 586 in my pocket since I picked it up back in November I think it was.

So how 'bout you guys? Do you have the same knife in your pocket that you were carrying a month ago? Or do you change it up every so often?

The only reason I change my EDC is when my needs for having a knife change. Right now I have the GEC bullnose and I have to say its a work horse. Been carrying it everyday for about a month and still impressed.

I change it up, lately the manix 2 cruwear, the southard, grayman dua, caly 3.5, mostly small sebenza inlay. At work I always have a sak mechanic with delica super blue.

I mostly carry the same knife or a couple different knives for a long time.
My victorinox tinker is nearly always in my pocket every day, sometimes replaced with an opinel no.8 or Vic soldier or Vic GAK.
As for my second folder, it's been the RAT 2 I picked up recently or my old faithful spyderco delica 4. My buck 110 gets to ride on my belt pretty often as well but it doesn't see much use and I haven't been carrying it much lately.

Typically my SAK sees most of the use thoughout the day and I use my bigger one hand folder for food prep or if I need to get my knife out and ready with one hand at work.

I have had the same tinker for about 6 years or so and it still looks like it's only a month old despite being carried and used for about 5 of those years and counting.

I work in an office with a business casual environment but some days are more business than casual. On those days I carry the Spyderco Delica 4 (in zdp-189) because it's light and thin, but it usually goes back in the collection when I change after work. I might carry it for a week or two in the dead of summer when it's brutally hot and I'm wearing the lightest close I own, but I still always go back to the Barrage.

I carry my sage 2 almost everyday, when going to school, and other normal tasks. I just purchased a Delica 4 and i think that will replace my Sage2 when it arrives tomorrow. But the only time I switch out what i carry other than getting a new knife is when I change what I will be doing. For example, when i know I'm going to be doing house work or yard work and i dont want to be afraid to sink my blade into some drywall or into the dirt to chase after some roots, I switch to my Mini Griptilian Because I don't mind it getting Beat up and chipped.

I'm all over the place. I like to use my knives so my rotation consists of about 7 mainstays. I carry based on what I'm doing that day, or think I might be doing. I'll often switch when I get home from work. Variety is the spice of life. Then I get a new knife and have to rethink my rotation. Keeps it fun and interesting. I think it also has to do with the fact that one of my coworkers is kind of a knife guy so I have someone to share them with.

I've been carrying my zt 0566 to work every day this summer. It's hard to top elmax steel in a hard use knife for 100 bucks, so it has basically been my beater and cuts a lot of cardboard everyday. Too bad bc I love that knife, and accidentally hitting concrete does bad things to a blade :(

depends on the attire needed for the day.

shorts - Benchmade 940-1
dress - Benchmade 940-1

Jeans with brown belt/boots - Large Sebenza 21 Box Elder Burl Inlay
Jeans with black belt/boots - Large Sebenza 21 Ebony Gabon Inlay

sometimes I mix in my Large Starbenza or a paramilitary II for a change of pace.
working a project or going to the woods with a chainsaw, I usually grab a beater (or sometimes a Para II)

I don't carry anything larger or smaller than around a 3.5 inch blade. I don't like a Mini-anything and the military is just too big for my taste.

I change it up everyday, I just own too many great knives to leave them sit. Do I own too many knives? Yes. Do I want to live with only a couple? Hell no. Plus, I have the intestinal fortitude of a 3 month old when it comes to not buying knives. I have the sickness, knife dysentery I you will...

I haven't changed out my primary carry knife in several weeks - I'm still in love with my new Zaan. Between that and my Vic Cadet, all my needs are more than covered.

Historically I rotated through 5-6 knives, changing them out almost every day. I don't think I'll go back to that system - it's hard to go back from CRK to lesser knives. At some point I hope to pick up a large Sebenza 21 insingo to complement the Zaan and my Small 21, and I imagine I'll go back to rotating through those, however.

I change them all the time. And I have a few beside me some days while I watch tv, which I fiddle with now and then. The wife is used to it now as she knows that I harmlessly fart around outdoors, so she could care less. I get my cutting tools and she does purses\shoes. :D

At work I usually carry my Microtech Socom Elite in my right pocket and my Spyderco Manix 2 XL in my left pocket. Sometimes the Sebenza 25 goes in the right and I'll put a ZT 0561 in my left. Those are my go to knives for work. To switch it up I'll toss in the Microtech Combat Troodon or UTX 70. I just grabbed a Pohan Leu bluephin off of here and that is going to be my go to for a while. That thing is awesome.

I have had 6-10 knives for as long as I can remember, but my EDC for the past 15 years has been a SAK - give or take a few days here and there. But that's about to change.

I recently went on a binge of buying several decent folders with blades sized from 2.5"-3.8". By my way of thinking I have now moved from "enthusiast" to "collector", although most if not all of the knives I purchase will get used. I don't really believe in the concept of a "safe queen". I also enjoy collecting midrange mechanical watches - I have about 25 of them - and I will rotate to a different one every week or two, unless there is a special occasion that calls for a particular piece. Now that I have a collection of good-quality knives at my disposal, I expect my behavior will gravitate towards that sort of pattern, after I get familiar with each of them. Over time, some will see more use, some less.

For example, I've been carrying a SOG Twitch II for a couple of weeks and I found that it's on the small side for my tastes - so it will probably fall into the "less" category. But I recently learned that 2.5" is the limit you can bring into government buildings so if I know I'm going to do government business, the Twitch will go in the pocket. Otherwise I'll probably reach for something a bit larger. I'm looking forward to getting to know each of my new acquisitions in this way.

I carry a different knife every day of the week. Sometimes, I'll change it midday when I go home on my lunch break. Depends on my mood. However, I have been carrying the Gayle Bradley a lot lately.

Every 4-7 days i probably switch, mainly between my kershaw leek and my mini grip, but i always have my CRKT minimalist and my Victorinox SwissCard

I sometimes carry the same knife for several months without changing up.

I've carried my TSF Beast almost every day since I received it about four months ago. I've always admired the guys that can commit to just one knife for decades. I would like to have the same knife day in and day out for the next 30 years. The stories and battle scars will be priceless.
