How often do you carry a different knife?

I like to switch to larger folders when I am off work, such as the Adamas. Most of the week however its a ZT 566 for me. On occasion I will rotate something new into my pocket, or carry a cheap knife if I am afraid of ruining/losing it.

I can't seem to stick to one knife. At this point I mostly rotate between 4-5 favorites. It just varies depending on what task I have to do and/or what environment I am going to be in (no Talwar XL to church and such ). One thing that is consistent 90% of the time is a Vic Cadet in my key/change pocket to go along with my primary carry.

I've got one I've been carrying for about year, ever since I got it. I may change up the other one every 3-4 months.

Sometimes I'll go weeks with a single knife or set. Other times I'll change up multiple times in a day.

I usually rotate between 4-5 knives, basically a different knife everyday of the the week but I always seem to gravitate back to my zt 350

Daytime EDCs rotate among Spyderco Sage2, Manix2 LW and Endura4 (Emerson), DPx HEST/F and Enzo Pk70.
Nocturnal EDCs are folders: CS Espada large, Recon 1 tanto and AK-47; fixed blades: Spyderco Perrin, CS Bowie Spike and Mini-Tac Kiridashi; usually in combo of 1 folder and 1 fixed blade. Need the extra assurance of Tri-AD lock, especially at night...

I carry my Benchmade Griptilian every single day along with a traditional knife like my buck 301 stockman some days. But no matter what, my Grip is in my pocket every day.

As often as twice a day, depends on what I do. Sometimes though, I'll carry the same knife for several days, but might switch to something else at night. There are about 30 different knives I choose from.

As long as I can remember, I carried one knife for months or years at a time. Then I started rotating knives, then I started carrying both a traditional and a modern folder and then I started rotating knives within those two types. Now it's a confusing hodgepodge of whatever knives I feel like picking up when I get dressed in the morning and sometimes I'll change knives during the day.

I tend to rotate daily, although if I reach into the magical box o' EDC blades and pick the same one twice in a row, so be it. That applies to my office carry only, though. After hours, I generally stick to my favorite, which is a Kershaw RJI.

I rotate the right pocket daily. Manix 2, couple kershaws, crkt m21 when I need to gain a few pounds...left pocket is almost always crkt ignitor...beater for work, cut tape and cardboard all day. Run boker coye ridgeback on the belt when I feel applicable.

I have my work knives, and then my any other time knives. So I tend to change out what I carry twice a day.

I do change based on my pants/expected tasks that day. I wear shorts, cargo shorts, jeans, and slacks. I go with a thin single blade when wearing shorts, a 2 blade in jeans, and a 3 blade in slacks.

I generally keep 4 or 5 knives in my edc rotation. I ll carry lighter knives during the week, and sturdier knives on weekends when I work outside. Often times, I carry only one or two knives during the week out of that group. Every few weeks, I might adjust my group a bit.

I pick up which one (or two) I'm feeling at the time. Currently more than likely paramilitary 2 or sebenza 25.

My carry for the day changes at least three times every day. In the morning it may be the Adamas, but by the evening it could be the Military or Junk Yard Dog.

I'm all over the place. I like to use my knives so my rotation consists of about 7 mainstays. I carry based on what I'm doing that day, or think I might be doing. I'll often switch when I get home from work. Variety is the spice of life. Then I get a new knife and have to rethink my rotation. Keeps it fun and interesting. I think it also has to do with the fact that one of my coworkers is kind of a knife guy so I have someone to share them with.

:cool:This is just what I was thinking,,The only differance is how work dictates my daily carry.
