How often do you carry a different knife?

As some others said, I change my knife when my needs change. I work for 2 companies; one requires slacks, the other doesn't. When I'm wearing slacks I usually carry something small like my lionsteel opera or a custom mini grip, but when I'm in jeans I opt for something much heftier like my cruwear manix or dlc manix (if it's gonna get wet). Soon I'm getting a Damascus Forge Beast, so that will see alot of pocket time, especially since it will be my first custom.

I wear my Esse Izula II every day. I wear it as a neck knife, and it's put on as soon as I dry off from a shower and stays on until I lay down for bed.

usually 1-2 times a day for me but sometimes I'll go a couple days without changing it up

I've always admired the guys that can commit to just one knife for decades. I would like to have the same knife day in and day out for the next 30 years. The stories and battle scars will be priceless.

I agree. I love the 'Grandpa carried the same "buck knife" for 50 years' kinda thing. They were simpler times. They had a knife, it cut, they didn't need another one unless they lost it or it broke in half.

Change.... I love change. That's why I have carried a Vic SAK for the last 25 years. :D Actually, I typically carry two knives and I will rotate the non-sak from time to time. Of late it is a ZT 0770CF. In the recent past, it was a SOG Twitch XL or Twitch II, SOG Mini-Vulcan, Spydie Delica, Cold Steel Tuff Lite, or a larger GEC slip joint like the #42. I went through a period of trying to find my preferred GEC slip joint and I ended up with the two-blade Missouri Trapper #42 and have similar knives both larger and smaller.

I have one for neck carry and one for pocket, great knife. This is the only fixed blade that I feel comfortable to carry in town. But to each their own of course.

About 5 days each for me- Each Monday morning I pick the next knife out of the rotation and carry it until Friday. I have a few other knives that I carry on weekends that aren't in the rotation. I have 12 or so in the rotation so it takes a long time to go all the way through, I should probably carry each one just 2 or 3 days.

i have one that is everyday IWB carry then i carry a smaller folder in my pocket that gets changed pretty much daily or at least every other day

Seeing as how it's not unusual for me to have 5 or more knives on me at one time, one of the advantages of carrying traditional pocket knives, they're smaller than your more modern sharpened prybars is that I can carry more knives. With that being said some knives stay constant like my Sebenza and others stay in my pocket anywhere from hours to weeks.

Currently I have the small Sebenza 21 has been in my pocket for about 8 months now, the BFC 2013 GEC Congress Jack has been in my pocket for 10 months a Case Swayback Jack for the last month, Vic Alox Farmer about 2 weeks (replaced a Case Camp knife) Queen Medium Stockman 2 days, finally Case Peanut about 6 weeks. So I guess you could say it varies as far as how often I change knives, definitely less frequently than my underwear. ;)
