How often do you purchase a knife?

I just realized that I've bought 8 ZT knives in the last 2 months. Usually I buy a knife every few months but lately I've been on a buying spree. So how often do you guys buy knives?
 
Not very often, I appreciate the art and it's why I'm here...
But, I've been dabbling more as of late and have purchased the following since last summer:
(1) Damascus Spyderco
(4) Shun Premier
(1) Lon Humphrey Brute De Forge
(1) Code Steel Code
(1) ZT 0200 - On it's way right now
 
I seem to go on buying binges and droughts. I've been on a severe buying binge lately! I've purchased 30 knives so far in the month of March!! However, probably 2/3 of those were inexpensive, or used lots. Only 5 were new, only three of those costs more than $100. I've been on a buying binge since just after Christmas. Prior to that, I hadn't purchased a knife in five months. I purchased about 50 knives total in 2015 - almost all of those between February and July. I need to join Knifeaholics Anonymous! but I don't admit that there's a problem, so it wouldn't do any good. :)

Every 2-3 months I buy one. But I research the crap out of it before I buy.

CRKT-Hunt'n Fisch.. love the jinking on the top of the blade/pins are very nice; and all proceeds go to Pancreatic Cancer Society
Buck Vanguard.. love the handle, and it sharpened up very nicely!
On order.. Spyderco PM2 Blurple S110V steel... love the color, 1st spydi... gotta try out the S110V steel.

I went 8 years without buying anything except for a single bladed locking SAK but in the last year or so, I've got about 20----Benchmade, Spyderco, Kershaw, Buck Paklites down to a couple of the $4 Walmart knives.
 
As often as I see something that catches my interest, lately it has not been much. Everyone and their neighbor has a "knives and tool works" kind of shop selling all kinds of knife light objects. Market has been flooded with nice pieces and crap all at once.

My life doesnt feel complete unless i have at least one new a month, that being said life has been completely sweet! biweekly or shorter lately and the anticipation is half the fun! :D

Being self-employed it depends on work.. When busy I may buy 2-3wk..:thumbup: When not.. ZERO!!! :thumbdn: John
 
Spyderco Waved Endura cured my knife "issue". Didn't buy a knife in years.

Last 6 weeks.

So I guess the answer just went from "rarely" to "too often".

since I started getting into traditional knives the past month it's been about 3-4 per week, but averaged out since I got into knives I'd say I purchase maybe 3 new ones a month.
 
For me? Not often enough!
For my fiancé? Too damn often!

Seriously though, I try to pick up a few around this time of year and then hold off until Christmas.
I do pretty good with resisting temptation considering I live within an hour from Shepherd Hills Cutlery (or as I call it, Nirvana) and Bass Pro. I've only purchased 3 SO FAR this year...

Well just 2 in the past 5 weeks. The Alpha folder and the CSAR-T. Kinda just startin out when I found this forum. After a couple sleepless nights reading tons of posts here I have the knife buying sickness!! So many choices in knives and steels a newbie should not go it alone without advice. Most important to me is to own some "quality" blades and not crap. After listening to all you can be a Benchmade folder is the next on my list this year. Love the flippers and spring assist
 
It depends I'm always looking for a few different knives and when I see the right price then I'll buy. This month just 1.
 
In the beginning, splurges and binges.

Nothing on the grail list so now only when something catches my eye and the price is right.
