Reminds me of stocking up on 22LR ammo. Have you seen the price of Levi jeans lately? Last a long time. Honestly, I need to go through my closets and toss some stuff. My favorite flannel shirt is probably 15 years old..... :D

During my first Hawaii assignment, I took the wife and family to the Big Island to see the lava flows. The youngest kid was so young it was unsafe for her (the fields as well as the gasses), so I watched her while my wife took the other two and trekked to the flows and back. When they returned to the car, I took off to see them for myself. As I was bounding down a slope returning to the car, I had to stop running so as to let an older gray haired couple by on their very slow trek to the lava flows. They asked how much further. I told them then commented that "I can finally say I'm older than dirt" (I was 31 years old at the time). The old man laughed, but the old woman wasn't amused. The scowl on that old woman's face just made the old man laugh harder.

That was 25 years ago. I'm 56.

Not to offend but with the wealth of knowledge here it surprises me that there are close to 20% in the 34-39 range. I just seem to learn from the folks here like I use to do from the old guys in my grandpas hunting club.

I am older but I don't know squat. Age does not always equal knowledge or wisdom.

True but I tend to equate it that way because those old farmer gents in my rural neighborhood always were willing to teach the youth skills and things that could help them later in life. That is the same feeling I get here . Not meant to offend or belittle anyone meant it as a true genuine compliment to the knowledge the folks on here have.
