No I mean like I trim my nails like what some people do with those little clippers. I do my toe nails too, kind of of therapeutic after a long day.

Yeah I know what you meant, I was saying have you tried the 'fingernail" test? If you put the knife edge on your fingernail is should stick to it. I know, its one of those those weird edge tests...
 
I want to see someone try the "splitting an atom with your knife test", they did it on an episode of StarGate SG-1, with a blade that I'm pretty sure was made of cardboard wrapped in aluminum foil... So if cardboard wrapped in aluminum foil can split an atom (and a person from the gut up through the skull), I'm sure that any Becker ever made can, even the BK8.

I use this and a DMT diafold with the extra fine and extra extra fine.

Some knives I have no issue getting sharp, and others I can't do anything with.
I can get my kabar, BK9, leatherman blast, and spyderco native in S30V sharp enough to shave arm hair.

I can make some progress with my BK11, but I have a Gerber paraframe that I can't do anything with. I also wasn't able to get my brother's kabar in D2 anywhere close to sharp.

I am sure it is all just my technique or something, I will just have to practice it at it more.
