How to break a Busse!!

Great on Busse. I had NO doubt Jerry would take care of it. The BEST warranty in the business. Think your buddy needs a game warden or active duty tho. I've pryed manhole covers up with my ad.
Did he get the job done before the tip snapped?

I was shocked! I was like holy crap was it a train hitch or semi truck hitch or something!!

Jerry stepping right up there and warranting a truly abused knife is the reason I won't buy anything else and wholeheartedly recommend to anyone I can. Please keep up the great business practice. If only everyone had a business practice like this.

Absolutely covered by our warranty!

Send that wounded piglet in and we'll give it a proper burial.

Oh, and might I suggest a screwdriver? ;)

Not the tool. . . the drink ! ! ! . . . You know, with vodka and orange juice? . . . To toast a farewell to the little guy when you ship him back?

Let's Drink!

Haha, I was going to suggest for next time he keep the knife, buy his buddy 2 screwdrivers...in case he breaks the first. ;)

Even the tales of warranty claims from the crew at KC, when they were there...

Never details, but even they were kinda in awe of it.

Great company

Dauuum! Busse, serious knife & serious warranty. This is the reason why I have bought several over the years. I remember reading about him doing stuff like that. Even if it is just a Store Credit, any Busse works for me! I just wish he had a Lost/Stolen Replacement policy. My dumbass lost my Trail Scalpel. I would EDC and use the hell out of that thing. Took it camping and it is now MIA. A dark sadness has fallen upon the family now.

Jerry's response literally just sold me on Busse. I was on the fence, but no more. Holy cow what a guy, and what a company. I would definitely like to try one now. Way to go!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

ETA: I think it's gonna have to be an SOB

Dog Soldier blades and grab bags are available on the Busse website right now mate and may not be for long!;)

Jerry,
Hate to let that little slab o' bacon go to waste. They're thristy Busse addicts (like me) who would gladly help you dispose of it.

How does the waranty work on a knife that's not in production? (Honest question. I ask because I don't know)

If we can't fix it or replace it, we will issue a shop credit for the amount that we originally sold the knife for.

Jerry

They can fix (or render usable) quite a lot. Course, you may end up with a new "mini" model afterwards

So basically, wedging a hitch was akin to putting it in a vice and pulling. Yup, that is expected to break, as the hitch isn't like wood, it will not fail. Such a beauty is now a dwarf. Cool of Jerry to replace. It's good I am not a knifemaker, because I would have told so many fools to F off, probably to include myself.

Right on, Jerry! If the warranty didn't cover it, it might be a good candidate for a bowie grind or a clip point. If the blades too small for that, maybe a wharncliffe.

Yea, I'd turn it into a Bowie or give it a drop point. And give this special friend a sharpened prybar instead :D
