reynolds oven bags for cooking turkeys in...
I found some nice quart water containers here: 2nd one down- they fold very flat and small and would fit in most kits (maybe even a altoids tin???)

Looking for a way to cord it for carry if need be- bunch of half hitches?
thanks
Mac- those are neat, I'd bet they sell well here if a guy could figure out where to source them![]()
I use them in the Doug Ritter Pocket Survival Packs.
If you click for more information on that link, they say you can seal the bag, then twist the extended ties together to make a loop. You can tie a line to that loop and hang the water bag.
It's a clever system. Better than oven bags.
Another option is something like this Aqua Sling ...a simple netted pouch with shoulder strap.

I too use the Aqua Pouches and really like them. They fold down pretty flat (larger PSK's), but the grommets are excellent for making a quick shoulder sling. The 550 cord+several half-hitches is probably your best bet if you want to keep it compact and integrated. Another option is something like this Aqua Sling ...a simple netted pouch with shoulder strap. I have one and it compacts down pretty small.

Like vector001, quite often I carry a lightweight mesh laundry (or maybe it's a grocery) bag. Takes up little room, weighs nothing, cheap (mine came from the dollar store) and is handy when you need a carrying container, for collecting tinder fungus, for example.
