Thanks Brian. My early issues that made me stay away from wet grinding/sanding may have been related to the specific material rather than in general.

I did some research last night and found that ivories in general are recommended for wet sanding. Even old dogs can learn new tricks.

But I'm still callin' it Troosite in a hamon ... Phooey on those smart-ass kids like Larrin ;)
