G is for Gerber. Not as old, or traditional, as some, but successfully selling knives for a good long time.

This is a fairly traditional pattern:

Daggers are pretty traditional, even when made from diverse materials, but to me it's the signature on this that makes it one I'll never sell. I used to see the COL 2-3 times a year at various functions, and he was always good for a story or two. One of the VP's of Gerber gave me this at the IWA show back in 96, and Rex was nice enough to pull out a Sharpy and mark it for me. Funny, not to long after that they did a run or two with his signature marked on the blades. I like to think I got the first one. RIP...
