How's your mail service at the moment

Well, this hasn't happened to me for a good while. UPS has lost a package. :poop: Pretty suspicious too, I actually think it was stolen.

I ordered a gun case from a large, well-known, online and B&M gun store in South Carolina early last week. The package was scanned as accepted from the store last Tuesday night 4/7 at about 8pm, and there hasn't been an update from UPS since.

I called to follow up today since it had been 24 hours since non-delivery. UPS, of course, had no idea where it was or what had happened. Being the recipient, I couldn't do squat about it (big surprise), and they told me to call the vendor. I did that today as well, and after being on hold for a bit over 3 hours (yes, you read that right, over 3 hours... o_O) I talked to a rep who started a claim with UPS.

Guess we'll see what happens, but I'm not holding my breath that it'll show up. :poop:

Just got carded today for pickup at the post office my replacement Flytanium scales.Mailed on Saturday in Utah to Vancouver,BC. Nice

So far nothing seems different. I do have a package coming priority from Olean, NY that has a scheduled delivery date a couple days longer than it should. I'm guessing the anticipated delay is because of it originating and going through NY. We shall see when it gets here.
These Micarta BK62 scales showed up a day early. Good on USPS and the folks at KA-BAR!

Just got a delivery notification that my package shipped on Wednesday afternoon arrived this morning.Pretty cool was how I paid for postage, print my shipping label, then schedule a pickup at noon online just when I finished packing and two hours later the mailman pulls up to my home.Even though my return shipping address is a P.O Box.Happy to say that's the Canadian postal service.

Vancouver, BC to Boston in 4 days as promised. Left at door w/o signature that was required. Fine by me.

Mine is slower than usual. I could always count on a 2 day shipping time from DLT to me. I ordered on Sunday, it shipped Monday. Typically that would mean a Wednesday delivery date, but the given delivery date was Friday. The package got to the nearest processing center on Thursday at around 0400, and didn't move until Friday evening. It should be here tomorrow, considering it's at my local post office now.

I've never experienced anything this slow from USPS, I can't be mad though, it's just a sign of the times. I do wonder if they're intentionally leaving packages to sit for a while to let anything on them die off, but it's more likely they're working with less employees and a higher volume of packages from everyone ordering things online. In my area at least, I always have to add at least two days to FedEx's expected delivery date. I wonder what they're like now.

The USPS is working! We are not so bad here in St. Louis, but some states are having attendance issues due to COVID19. Just be patient and give everything a couple extra days.

Just sent in my Hogue Doug Ritter folder under warranty last Wednesday. It arrived safely in California this morning via Priority Mail.It arrived a day earlier than scheduled. If I didn't know better would assume everything was normal.

I'm quessing it really area specific and due to staff shortages.

On the other paw:

Priority package arrive at PO April 10, 9 PM Tulsa, OK.
Reached Pittsburgh April 17, 90 minutes easy drive from here.
Not delivered April 20.

Living in Alaska I'm used to a day or 2 delay in shipments. Surprisingly, since big ole Rona I've been getting stuff on time if not earlier.

I guess it only takes a global pandemic to get regular shipping to AK. :D

My service has been terrible the last few months.

I tried to mail a package to Virginia on March 28th and this is what I've been dealing with lately. I know mistakes happen, but the amount of mistakes the last few months has been incredible.

Hopefully someday it will make it back to me. I've made three trips to the Post Office in hopes of intercepting it, but I keep missing it and the USPS tells me there is nothing they can do (as per usual).

had one earlier this month that impressed me. had a bm 950 shipped from the east coast on fri, 4/3, the state’s arrival date was wed, 4/8. showed up two days early on min, 4/6. very happy.

My goodness that is awful.

I shipped a few last week sold here on the exchange.
The priority mail receipts stated a longer than usual delivery time but were actually delivered in the usual 2 day time frame.
Amazon on the other hand...waiting a month for a couple of chainring spacers shipped from right here in the US.

Very much this. I had two Priority packages shipped to me on Monday; both would normally arrive on Wednesday, but the tracking said to expect them on Friday. I guess they're padding their numbers to allow for delays.

One package arrived Wednesday as expected, the other arrived Thursday - late, by normal standards, but early, by their padded numbers. That's fine, as long as it arrives :).

I did recently send a package to Maine (from California) that decided to visit Anchorage, AK for a few days. Dunno - maybe it's nice up there, this time of year?

I can only speak for the post office where I work. We are busting our ass to get all the mail and packages delivered. With the stimulus money it is like Christmas season all over again. People are shopping online like crazy.

Well, I've got a package that is taking longer than expected. I mailed it through a self service kiosk, which I have done at least a hundred times. I'm always a bit nervous until it gets scanned into the system, which usually takes about 24 hrs. I got an email saying all was well and it was moving in the system. I get 4 more of these emails of the next 4 days. Another email saying the item is going to be late but it is still on its way and moving within the system. So I go to look at the tracking history today and at no time was it scanned at a location, just says it is moving in the USPS system. I find that worrisome. I'm sure all will be well but it makes me nervous to not have a time and place listed that it was scanned.

Packages are typically arriving a day or two late here. Also dealing with this, a package that keeps going from my local distribution center in Philadelphia to the wrong post office and back. That one could be a long wait
