Excellent information,I would like to know who developed the heat treat process before Paul was involved with Buck?Also,why are they no longer used?Very interesting thread.

Tom Ables Book about Buck Knives talks about Hoyt buck having some better heat treating process than was normally available back in those times. I am away from home and don't have the actual verbiages.
