HT'g Relish update

Don't worry about the Canadian stuff too much yet IG. It's fairly routine for parcels to take 2 - 3 weeks. Now, if you'd shipped it UPS it would NEVER get here. :jerkit:

Rob!

Hello George

It just arrived! Today,,,,,, on a Sunday! I never knew Canada Post worked on a Sunday. The postmark on the parcel was 19th October, so it took 10 days. Letter from the US and UK usually take 5 to 7 days, parcels take a little longer as they wait to be checked through customs. The longest I waited for a knife was 32 days, but the e-bay seller was a bit 'creative' with the date he sent it. It took 14 days, but it did include the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Thanks for sending the relishes. My wife says the easiest way to send you the money from Canada is to get a Money Order from the bank. I'll do that tomorrow. I just dipped my finger in the relish, it is pretty HOT isn't it? Very tasty though, and nicely smoky. You know eating chilli speeds up your metabolism? I should be back down to 160lbs by the end of the jar :>) I am still feeling the 'glow'.

Yep!!! Its Hot!!!! It not only speeds up your metabolism, it also speeds up your bowel movements. HEHEHEHEHE!!! Did you try the salsa???? ;)

We are saving the Salsa for a special family dinner party on the 18th, so it better be good. :D

If you didn't get my payment today, you should on Monday. Funny how things turn out. I went to the bank on Monday to buy a $20 US bill, but the bank closed 15 minutes before I got there. I decided to go to Shoppers Drug Mart which is next door, because they are big and have a post office. I was going to ask if they had a $20 US bill in their till they could sell me. So I am waiting in line at the cash buying a birthday card and there are two cute little 15 year olds in the queue and the one says to the other, "can I give you this and can you give me the money in Canadian"? My ears prick up and I see the girl with a folded green bill. The other girl says "no, I don't want that". I said " is that an American $20 bill, can I possibly buy it off you"? Of course I have to repeat it because no-one understands English-English, and she says "yes, it is". I explained I had just missed the bank and I really need a $20 US bill. She said "sure, no problem", so I asked her how much she wanted and she said the exchange was about 21 bucks Canadian. I gave her $22, and it was a done deal. I put it in the envelope I already had and took it to the post office counter. They said Express and tracked was $10 bucks, so I said it wasn't that security conscious a letter! Anyway, I would be grateful if you would e-mail me when you get it. I would 'hate to be owing'.

Thanks George, you make good stuff!

I got it Bro!!!! Thanks and I'll have a couple of beers on you. ;) :D

 You better go find that poor little girl. She would have got about 22.60 at the bank. Then again, she's probably a 7 year old con artist selling counterfeit US 20s to greedy old men in post office line ups. :D

.... Like any of us would know the difference. Those US bills all look the same. Canadian bills are so colorful, you'd think they were printed at the Fisher Price factory.

The salsa is outstanding!!!!!

Rob!

hey George were you able to come up with some more of the smoked?I have already finished one bottle:D

That's great George. Cheers :)

Rob, you know it's funny. I have had a $50 bill and a $10 bill in my travel wallet/fanny pack for about 10 years. I looked the other day to see if I had a $20, and I remembered them as being green, but now they are more white. Do US bills fade in colour?

and yes, our notes as a little bit more fancy.
