so lots of items under heat treating that are interesting too, many of the smaller forges/ovens would seem to be aplicable for us

I used to change out wheels like that on an O.D. Grinder used to grind die pins. Same Norton wheel with a 12" ID. It took two of us to get it on the machine. They ran wet and would have been perfect for knives, if you could rig up a machine to turn them. Here is one of the machines that looks similar to ours.

I am a big promoter of HGR. The deals available to machinists and those needing obscure items are enormous.
I have paid $3.99 for new-in-the-box items that would have cost hundreds from the manufacturer.
Those 36" wheels wouldn't be still around ,would they?
