View attachment 103217Made from a 3/16 thick Nicholson file.
File was annealed before grinding.
Blade is hollow ground, just a shade over 4 1/8th inches to front of handles, with a 3 5/8th inch cutting edge, and 1 1/8th inches wide.
AOL= 8 1/4 inches.
Triple quenched in ATF, allowed to cool to room temp between each quench.
Tempered for 2, two hour cycles at 400 degrees. Blade was allowed to cool to room temp between cycles.
Sharpened on Arkansaw oil stone to a hair shaving edge.
Handle is dymondwood winewood secured by epoxy, and 3/16 brass pins.
Blade is stamped with my initials.
Sheath is made from 9-10 ounce veg. tanned leather finished in neatsfoot oil and buffed to a low luster. Holds the knife securely for a worry free carry, hand stitched, and tooled. Sheath rides high on hip so it will carry easily, surface crack in leather that is visible in picture is just a surface crack and will not effect the durability of the sheath.

Joseph, I'll take the Nicholson file Hunter if it's still available at $65 shipped. I'll PM for Paypal info, thanks.

Joseph, I got the knife today. Thanks for a very nice piece. It is very stout and sharp. This will make a great woods knife. Thanks Again!!!!

Thankyou Muddog49, I appreciate the opportunity, glad you like it. Those Nicholson files will definitely take, and hold a keen edge.
It sure got there quick, USPS was on the ball.
