Depends on preference. Some guys like bigger (5"ish blades) that they can choke up on, some guys like smaller knives. I've got a blackjack 125 which is a bit big IMO, theres also the Hess Muley. Again its all preference, these are both traditional style knives that use tool steels, which aren't stainless but also aren't hard to keep rust free if you just wipe them off when you're done.

I like a 3 1/2 to 4" drop point for skinning and game prep. No more than 1/8" thick. Check out Falkniven.(I don't think I spelled it right)

The Bark River Gunny is one of the most popular knives we sell for this use. They are available in many handle options and two main blade configurations. This one is the hunter model which has a slight drop point and ramp removed. This one is 3v which has good corrosion resistance. There are some still available in s35vn as well if you want even better resistance to the elements.

price doesnt matter i ordered 1000 bucks worth of busse

Hey brother - first of all, congrats on the ONE Busse knife that you recently purchased! Secondly, Survive Knives GSO 3.5 in CPM-20CV is perfect for you. I've heard that they're focusing on allowing folks to place orders & then get their knives a week later, but I don't believe that exists yet. So, I'm going to say what I always say - go to the custom fixed blades exchange here & buy what you like...a stainless hunting knife is something that pops up on a regular basis, so it really won't take much looking - happy hunting! See what I did there...like you're hunting....for a hunting knife...no? OK.

wow your website is amazing its going to take a little wile to really explore.

I'm thinking about ordering a Lionsteel M3 to try out this fall. Look at that blade shape!

its a beautiful knife which brings up a point.. i always bought american, it felt wrong not to, but most countrys are older than us and have been hunting game all over the world longer than we have so what other countrys brands have great knives?

Why not get something custom to your needs? There's a lot of knife makers that sell on the forum and take orders. Lot's of designs out there!

This is my Rick Menefee, Tony Bose Pattern Drop Point in 154CM and maple. This knife had no problem gutting, skinning and boning out two deer. Then I used it to trim all the meat. I wanted to see how much I could use the knife without sharpening....and after all that it still shaved hair off my arm.

Knives i get in for sharpening from hunters in my area range from the Buck Vanguard & Zipper models to various vintage Puma's (never recent ones) to certain Fallkniven models in 3G steel, mostly their F1 and TK2 models, but sometimes a TK5.
They use them on deer and wild boar.
