So you're going in the woods for a few days. You have no choice but one folder and one fixed blade. What do you take?

I'm new if this thread is repeated a hundred times over forgive me. Just figured I'd get some fresh insight.

Thanks.

Becker BK5 and my new custom razor so I'll be so fresh and so clean.

My Imperial h6 and my imperial jackmaster Barlow. you may not like it, but there's no possible way for me to end up in the woods without my sub zero hatchet ( my edc mt would also still be me but I don't use it's blade or keep it sharp, so it doesn't count )
Because of that, the h6 and Barlow would be more than enough

I often edc the h6 and jackmaster Barlow anyway, so if I get to pick something specific to take it would be my sub zero hatchet ( no matter what it'd be with me )

One of those congress knives with like 7 blades and a hatchet. Hatchet can be considered a fixed blade so.

Exactly, Hickory.

But J.O.A , I think I'm going to go camping in the near future. I haven't been in a while. I know I can take all kinds of stuff, but I figured I'd keep this thread to the bear essentials. I'm sure I'll have a saw, a hatchet and all kinds of stuff really. But ultimately when it comes down to it at some point in time, I might only have a knife. So I figured I'd ask.

small SAK and Ontario SP2. They've gone on all my trips for the last 20 years so why not continue the pattern?

Um, those would be water and food. Please when you go camping bring those first. If they were knives I'd take my Spartan Difensa and PM2. Honorable mention to the Esee Junglas.

Slimline 3V machete, that is my best friend in the woods. Pocket knife, probably Hoback A10, FFKW Archbishop, or El Patron.

So what knife would you take ?
If you plan on wood splitting or chopping, then a hatchet or axe can't be beat ( I got lucky with my harbor freight 12$ hatchet, and it's a cheap way to decide if a hatchet is what you want )
Would you take a heavy chopping knife or something like a field knife or woodcraft belt knife ?
What do you own that you could take ?

I can't see myself chopping anything i couldn't baton with my busse anniversary mean street. Or cutting anything I couldn't cut with a manix 2 in blurple and s110v. If corrosion weren't an issue, my Gayle Bradley in m4 would surely push out the manix.

If I'm carrying my boy's axe, a Mora Companion HD and a BM 940. If there's no axe to be had, a Junglas and the 940.

I prefer the axe and mora combo to a large fixed blade if I know I'm going to be processing wood.

OKC Kukri for my fixed and Probably Buck 110 for my folder. I could do everything from cutting small trees to cleaning fish.

Out of my collection, the KABAR Parangatang and Swisschamp SAK
Of those I (still) don't have, it'd be a Carothers Chopper and a Wenger Swissgrip
