I’m looking for suggestions for my next EDC folding knife, under $200......

Bugout. Same cutting edge as the PM2 (my favorite knife), but carries small and has a great practicality factor. Axis locks can be fun too!

The new Spartan Blades Bronze Series (Taiwan) look promising. There's a 3.5" from Les George and a smaller 3.12" Bill Harsey design. I'm probably going to pick up the Astor (George) myself. Both are sub $150.

Okay I have a good suggestion if you enjoy Spyderco and don't like thumb studs, but also want to try another brand. How about a Benchmade 550 Griptilian in 20CV with G10 handles with round spyderhole opening. It's much better than the standard Grip model, has the hole for opening but gives you a chance to have a play around with a new lock type.

I have been considering the same. I currently edc a Maxemet Para 3 and don't know how much I'll like the Manix 2. Any input?

Sorry to thread jack.

I don’t have a para 3, but I do have a mini bugout and hogue mini ritter for size comparison. I wasn’t sure about the Manix 2 either, but it is really an amazing folder. It is larger but fits the hand very well. I’m very pleased with it and how it fits into my carry routine as a larger folder, but not to big. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed at all and especially having it in M390 is great.
