Some familiarity with the landscape and general desert living would be very helpful, and lots of natives live in similar environments to the Mexican border. Then they get paid to be extra observant and track full-time. Doubt that native ancestry has much to do with it though.
 
I thought that the Native American requirement for that Job with customs /immigration was due to the job being done on "Native American/Indian land"

They are the new I.C.E. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, I think it is a consolidation due to the Homelands Security Department's inception. At least that is what I got from the piece. So Les, are there any good books on the subject?

Madison's a nice little town. Can't imagine walking down mainstreet with a BM on the thigh, though.
