I almost died today. Safety with old wheel grinders

If you and I don't stop doing dangerous things they are going to round up all the knifemakers and send them to the shrink.

Glad your untouched! It didn't sound dangerous but lesson learned. Hopefully nobody will motorize a stone too fast now. Looking on the bright side, now you'll get a newer grinder!

wow....glad you weren't hurt and good to know... there must be hundreds of thousands of those still kicking around...

Lesson learned. I'm glad to hear you're ok. Sorry to hear about the bandsaw and roof. But wow, through the roof? insane

Yea we usually say, Wow this is a really dumb idea just before it blows up, cuts us, or burns us. We might learn in this life. Glad your OK SAM!!

That had to get the adrenaline going pretty good:eek: Good to know you alls o.k:thumbup:

Glad to hear you made it out unharmed Sam. I have to say, I've had the same thought before...I'd likely have done some math before firing it up, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't have broken something...

I'm glad to hear your ok Sam!

Now its not that it was a bad idea, its was just a poorly planned one. When you have an idea, stop! Take three days to crunch the numbers multiple times and then start working on it. :) It saves a lot of head ache and is cases like this, your life.

By the way, give me a call. You still have my cell number right?

The difference between a good experiment and a bad idea depend on the words stated just prior to the execution of said event:

"...hold my beer and watch this!" = Bad idea!!

:D:D
