I am looking for a Tactical Spike or ice Pick, any suggestions ?

You can say it, but I wouldn't do it. Way back when, we had discussions about that. If you replace the spike with a wooden "dart" you've got a wicked little toy there. :)

My Guardfather had such a powerful spring, that it would rattle itself loose, so I had to loctite the end cap.

I find threads such as this to be frightening. It just provides ammo for the sheeple out there.

It does not. They come with preconceived notions or they would laugh it off the way we do. You are not responsible for other people's misconceptions. They could read the "good" threads just as well as the "bad" ones.

And I find it frightening that one of us is proposing a form of thought police.
I have already stated that this will be carried overseas. I am Mil, outside of that, there is nothing else to explain.

To the rest of you who've provided answers to my sincere question,
thanks.

Signed,
Joseph

i am curious about the Guardfather or whatever i have never handled one or seen one in person. how strong is it? do you think it can take some impact or would it break?

do you think it could punch more than one or two holes in .25 drywall?

well maybe .25 is alittle thin but you get the idea

yes.. well aleast the one i have does... unless you mean through the wall with its own spring power then no but after you open it, its pretty much solid ive stabbed mine through drywall, thin plywood, ive broken windows(had to sharpen the point to a jagged edge for that one) and all kinds of stuff it recently broke when i tried to pound it through 3/4 inch plywood with a 2x4 :D and the lock button failed but other than that its a fairly tough little pick
