I'm one of the bigger opponents of censorship that you'll meet, (My website is on Freespeech.org)and I don't agree with the actions that have been taken, but I believe there are ways that it can be opposed that work, and that there are ways that are just hurtful, whether it's intentional or not. I honestly don't think anyone on BF is out to hurt anyone else, arguments or not.
Also, whether or not we agree with Lynns actions as they've been described, they are his right. His website is to sell his knives first and foremost. It is his livelyhood.
I know a knifemaker that has owed me four blades for about seven years now. He is very difficult to contact, and I sometimes get the feeling that it's intentional. My friends know who he is, they hear me complain, but noone here will. It's between him and myself. If anyone solicits an opinion from me, they'll hear the truth, but I won't tell them publicly.

I understand that, but it was also posted in the 'general' forum. We really don't need two copies of one thread. Anyway, if it's Mr. Griffith's forum, he can do what he wants with it. If you want to start your own forum about his knives, you can (that's what free speech actually means). I hope one of the moderators will lock this thread, before it turns into another bonfire (and the originator of the post would seem to disapprove of the arguing, as well).

In any case, I'm not going to post in this thread again, 'cause I can see where it is probably heading.

If anyone wants to complain about Mr. Griffith's knives, they should complain about the use of 'tactical' to describe a knife without a guard (

can you read that now?? this from the start has been about lynns huge ego and the way he has taken every advantage to pat himself on the back. i have put alot of care and work into the knife business andam really sick of the chest pounders that come along thinking they are the greatest thing since canned beer! i believe this puts a bad light on knifemakers in general to the public and especially to new people just coming into it.

all you people in lynns little camp should really do some research instead of just crawling up my a$$ everytime i mention his name. he isnt the gods gift to knifemaking you all think he is.

with this i will never mention lynn grififth again as it seems it is a waste of effort and falls on deaf ears.

Tim You have a valid point and it would be a shame if you let 1 or 2 posts defending actions you disagree with, shut you up. Don't give up when you are right.
 
I have been resisting to post on this thread from day one...but finally have given in to an irresistable urge to say: Tim, Im pretty sure you dont care what Lynn thinks.. you just like throwing gasoline on the fire, which can be a lot of fun as long as you dont get burned.....keep smilin, thats the most important part

These two statements seem contradictory to me. Frankly, however, I don't care whether you are attacking Lynn's personality and/or his knifemaking skills. This discussion is benefiting no one, as is always the case in 'trial by internet.' Perhaps consideration should be given to moving on to more worthwhile pursuits. Walt

I called and left a message with him yesterday and still haven't gotten a call back. I was just curious as to why I got banned for doing a test to see if I was banned, on his forum. I guess I wasn't the one he left the phone # for.

Quit posting and it will die on it's own.
