I am screwed this valentines day.

I might be lucky, My wife does not like or own a piece of jewelry. She does not own a dress and does not want one. She borrowed one for each of our kids weddings. She has two pair of work boots and one pair of dress tennis shoes. On our 40th anniversary I asked her where she wanted to go out for dinner, Taco Belle. Last but not least, she likes GUNS, KNIVES, HUNTING, FISHING and CAMPING. However, she has the crazy idea that you only need One big game rifle, one 22, one 22 pistol and a 9MM. And good grief, One knife? She IS the definition of piratical.

I am NOT.:D

Neat shotgun!!!!!:D

Very good score! We used to sell quite a few of those back when I managed a sporting goods store. I often thought about getting one, but there were sooo many other temptations there, and my check was always sooo small. :(

My dad had a Russian Baikal (sp?) coach gun. I think he bought it long enough ago that it actually came to him in the mail. Those days are gone. He ended up selling it to a friend who was a Postal Inspector. I don't think it was for duty purposes, but if it was- cool!

My wife just got her first gun (S&W 642) for Christmas, and no- I would not try to pull that off for Valentines Day. ;)

Again, good score and good luck!

One trick I've learned is to suffer through a day(cause you know if you go in there with her you're not doing anything else that day) in the mall before each big holiday. Take notes ( don't let her see you) on the things she looks at. Then go back and get one that she liked. It works for me and she thinks I'm psychic when really, I'm just good at intel gathering.

Ahh, a recon mission. Now thats putting into terms I can understand!!!! :D

Thanks guys. She is awesome. She hardly says anything about knives or guns anymore. I am very lucky.

She has been wanting another pug puppy for awhile. Talks about it every once in awhile. Is a puppy a good gift idea?

I would say a puppy would be a nice gift, as long as you're sure she really does want one.

Yeah im sure man. She loves animals, and is always buggin me to get more dogs etc.. Her friend breeds pugs, and I saw a note on the table the other day with phone number to a guy who had great dane pups for sale she had brought home. She loves those dogs.

Damn, thats a nice coach gun, I really like them.

good luck shopping for jewelery, shes worth it.

I think on and off about getting a coach gun for HD and just for fun. Is there a "rabbit ears" version with external hammers?

Not from Stoeger. They do have a single trigger one, and one with stainless barrels.

Looking on the website, I saw a model called the outback, which is an over under with 20in barrels. Sweeet......:D

A stainless one with composite stocks would be a sweet gun for a boat.

Enjoy the new gun and the puppy ;)

The obvious question has not been asked and that is Does she have a sister?

Sounds like you have a terrific wife. The note on the table about the dog is a great tell that she has them on her mind. That being the case I think it owuld be a fantastic surprise for her on Valentines day.

Thats an awesome V-Day gift man ... enjoy ... so what are you gettin her ???
Jewelry is a cool but doesn't show much thought IMO ... just too easy ya know.
Women just LOVE to be pampered ... and she is your queen right ?
What woman wouldn't want a day at a spa with a massage, facial and pedicure ?
or a nice little romantic getaway weekend at a resort with all the goodies-
candles, rose petals, massage oils, breakfast in bed :p

Good luck bro ... I'm sure she will love whatever it is.

I just figured out what she, and probably every woman, wants for Valentines Day: a pink G-10 handled Laconico HWK and a Hallmark card. Problem solved.

Funny you shoud say that Matt. She loves the pink Izulas. If their was a purple one she would love it even more. Hmm. Purple. Crap that would be cool!!
