I bought *ME* my first knife!

Hi Judy,
I'm the guy you met at Dennis's shop. The Sharpmaker 204 is a great buy. It comes with a video that shows you step by step how to sharpen knives and everything else with a sharp edge. I dont know of a more versatile sharpening system then the Sharpmaker. The only down side to it is that its not as fast as a bench stone. But it will sharpen your Cricket and knives with serrations, which would be really hard to do with a benchstone.
Enjoy your new knife.

HooDoo -

I hadn't bought my Cricket yet when I told him that!

MrCas (aka Shawn R Sullivan)-

It was really nice meeting you yesterday. I'm sorry if I got your name wrong. I thought you said "Mike" but my hearing is probably going in my old age!

Mykl Clark -

"Hi I'm Judy and I'm a knife addict."
"Hi, Judy!!" (from the group)

Oh, great. Now they have 12-Step programs for Knife Addicts?

See what you KnifeKnuts have done to me? Created a KnifeKnut monster. Now I will be spending my "patio" money on knives... so you all will have to come to my house for a patio building party so I can buy more knives!

Judy, very good pick with the Spyderco.

Besides, you have a much sharper and nicer knife than I do.
-You

Spyderco has really got the sharpening process down good. They usually come a bit sharper than Benchmade from my experience.

Judy, it was a pleasure meeting you. It's an honor knowing that I was your "first".... Knife dealer, that is. (That almost didn't sound right

) Anyway, welcome to the wide wonderful world of sharp, shiny and pointy tools.

Yup,we got us another "convert", guys. Asked the right questions and actually listened to the answers. This is definitely a knife person here. Fledgling, yes but ready, willing, and able to learn.

Sorry we didn't have more time to talk. The shop hadn't been that busy until you walked in. Maybe the next time.

The Cricket seems to do it to the women everytime. I know of two other women who got started with a Cricket. One is my MUCH MORE SIGNIFICANT other, the other is a co-worker. Cute was the word they used as well. My co-worker wants to get a Civilian next, intersting choice. My girlfriend is looking at some Brian Tighe's stuff.

Well Totally Judy, what's next? I think you need a Walter Brend fixed blade. A Model 2 is always a good choice.

You will find that as you buy more knives, it becomes harder to wait between purchases. You need a FIX right away!

Hi Judy,
Yep, there is a 12 step program for knives.

Step 1; Buy another knife.
Step 2: Buy another knife.
You get the picture.

Hi Judy. thanx for the confidence & support. My wife, Gail, usually has a Cricket about her (somewhere).

Welcome to the club Judy!

You know you need help (thanks Knife-a-holics Anonymous

) when you work at a large company and nobody knows your name but they all know the the knife knutt. Of course using an Emerson Commander to cut some tough roast beef at a working lunch (suit and tie crowd) doesn't help deter that association either

When Kit Carson delivers those model 4's, I might not scare the sheeple at the next lunch!

Stay Sharp,
Sid

Thanks, Sid.

I'll stay as sharp as I can until my HHBL buys me a Spyderco Sharpmaker 204! Between the two of us we will soon have many knives to keep sharp.
