I.C.C.E - Kansas City 2016 - Makers, what are you bringing?

Gettin close.

Cliff Parker is rolling in today and we'll head to KC in the morning.

Might post a group shot later. Have more knives finished than I thought.

Here's my final line-up. I managed to get six completed:

I'll be heading out sometime in the morning. See you there.

Been wanting to make one of these for years & finally did. 6" of W2, Bog Oak & Koa.

 Well I think you oughta make more of them! I love everything about it, Don! Apart from the obvious aspects, I really like that tiny bit of forge finish you left on the "ricasso", just enough for your sunfish stamp. :)

Very nice folder Bob! I've been wondering, are you carving/engraving your copper bolsters, or are you somehow etching them to get the effect/image? Anyway I love the bamboo shoots, I think it goes great with the mammoth ivory and the hamon, it just gives me a sense of a prehistoric jungle, if that makes any sense ;) lol

Great line up, Gary! I really love the overall profile on the checkered bowie on the far left.

Hope you all have a great time and have much success in buying and selling.

I had this one in Little Rock, but it wasn't for sale. I wanted to keep it for a while. This time it is for sale. It is a Seax with walnut crotch and the silver is a Walking Liberty half dollar.

Y'all have plenty of good conversations and sell plenty of knives! I'll be there next year...

I was at the show Friday and had a good time, seen some familiar faces and met some new makers . How was the turnout on Saturday?

Great to see you folks and shoot the breeze a bit, sorry I didn't get to see everyone.

Be safe as you travel home....we've had around 4" of rain here since last night.

As a collector, I just want to thank the knife makers for bringing their game to the ICCE. 5 AKI makers were in attendance not to mention an amazing lineup of other knife maker favorites. Push daggers, jewels, intricate pin work, awesome damascus, craftsmanship, beauty and amazing engraving were all on display. The line up of knives was even better than last year and that says a lot. Knife Makers - Please keep coming to the ICCE - I love this show and enjoy getting to socialize with you. Collectors who haven't made it here yet - you are missing out.

I couldn't make the show, how was attendance/sales?

Tad

Couple makers I spoke with said non-knifemaker bodies in the hall were far and few between. Friday at beginning had the most crowds. Pretty empty most of the time from pictures I saw.

I was there Saturday from 1100-1230 and it was not empty. Seemed fairly steady to me at that time.
