I.C.C.E - Kansas City 2016 - Makers, what are you bringing?

I went Friday and Sunday bought something both days. Friday had steady traffic from the getgo. Some makers sold out on Friday and some were sold out by Sunday. There was significantly less makers on Sunday. That kind of queers next year's Sunday. I was surprised some local makers didn't stay; probably they sold out. One maker almost lost my sale because he was packing up 21/2 hours early. When there is a lot of good choices...it's hard to decide.

I have been there both years during most of every day. The collectors side of the tables were not nearly busy enough. While there were some sales I know of at least 4 popular makers that didn't make sales other than to a purveyor. I also know one who is thinking about not making the next show.

Something needs to be done to put people in the isles. Many times there were more makers in the isles talking than there were potential buyers.

It's not the established collectors that need to be reached out to. It's the new potential collectors that need to be reached and enticed into coming. Every collector started with an initial purchase, more people in the building = more initial purchases.
