My daughters cat had kittens last month. One of the kittens came out backwards and its head got stuck. The mother cat started freaking out and trying to run and kick at the kitten stuck in her. I had to hold her down and pull the kitten out. I was so scared I was breaking its neck but I had to do something. I got it out. Everything turned out fine. A few minutes later it was like nothing happened. The kittens and mother cat are doing great. She had 6 kittens. The one that was stuck was huge compared to all the other kittens. Twice as big.

My 10 year old named him Big Hoss. :)

The puppy decided to fall asleep on me. I am powerless to move even though I'm burning daylight and have crap to do..... The cuteness is strong with this one.

Well, NJ Steel Baron has now screwed up 3 orders in a row for me. This time they messed up and shipped it to my old address; fortunately they sorted it out quickly (or so they say; I'll know more when the info in the tracking number changes, hopefully tomorrow). All the same though, I think I'll be doing business with SB from now on.

Dagnabbit, I am soooo far behind the cool kids... took a few days off and completely missed the RBK thing. :(

On the other hand, I did recently come into possession of a KB BK-4... my original (semi-secret) intent was to put pretty stuff on it and give it back to the cat who gave it to me. But I may break that promise and keep it. He may just have to wait for the other (even-more-top-secret) thingamabob I already had planned for him...

;)

Now I want to see someone carve an acorn with an RBK.

I could SO use an RBK to carve an acorn......in half.

Puppies are really good for that...

.....and babies. Man, when my oldest was a baby she would lie on my chest and just put the whammy on me.....of course with babies, you're so damn tired you aren't really thinking about all the stuff you gotta get done. Mostly it's a great reason to take a nap yourself.

JT, the new RBK is phenomenal. I (may have) managed to chop the USPS box it came in entirely in half with one swing after tossing it in the air. You gotta get you one of those. I say may have, because I destroyed the box pretty thoroughly within about 2 minutes of receiving the blade, and thus have no pictures of that particular accomplishment.

They sure are....

I managed to escape her clutches with the help of one of my wife's sweatshirts.

I imagine so. Ha-ha!

Since we're here among friends, I'll spill my guts...

Despite a fair bit of experience with them, I've really never been all that impressed with either "real" khukris or "machete-type copies" of them. Pretty much a one-trick-pony if you ask me. (and of course, no one asked me, so... :p)

Frankly, I think they're way too heavy, way too dull, and way-too-soft to be anything I would even keep in my garden shed, much less with my BoB or survival gear. To be honest, I'd rather have a cheap short-handled shovel, and I'm pretty confident that face-to-face, I could both kick someone's ass with it and then later, get a lot more actual work done with it. (*ducks and puts on flame-proof suit*)

But I did get to examine and fondle an RBK or two over the last couple years, and yeahh... that thing makes a lot of sense to me.

I have missed this place will try to keep up a little better. Now where can I get an RBK Tomars?
