I can't help myself, Craig's Sambar Stag Collection by Joe Houser.

that 103 gary was actually my favorite knife of the set.....
Yeah. I can believe that.
It does have aesthetic that the new ones don't have.

When you had these made, were you looking to replicate a knife from Buck's past?
I guess I am unsure if these knives were intended to be replicas or something you had in mind.
Either way they are awesome.
It would be interesting to hear your motivation for having them made the way they are......
Thanks.

My favorite memories when hunting are not always those involving the actual hunt, being outdoors or even just getting away.

It's hearing the stories and first hand history of old friends lives, and the things they experienced. They had stories to tell..... I wish I took the time to hear more of them.

just like you I love the sambar stag--at the time joe did not have any so I ordered it and then took it out to him and asked--I think it took about 10 months to get done cuz he is a busy fellow ya know---don't matter to me I am patient about things like that---but was excited to see the finished product....

So from the time you ordered the stag to finished product was over a year....
..... And you had probably been considering it for a considerable time prior.
Ya, that's patience.
And they are pretty exciting!:D

Thanks for keeping them together!

the “m” got left off of them. Stag skeeves my kids out. Gives them the willies. Grosses them out. They just don’t like touching it. I don’t know why. I couldn’t figure out why there were some guns and knives of mine they won’t use. Finally figured they just don’t like touching antlers. Go figure.
Definitely wierd.
