yup, the developer found that having a shell catcher basket mounted on the front collision bar was ineffective at high speeds as most of the shells bounced out as you mentioned.. the ammo storage basket under the seat is sized to hold two boxes of pre-linked ammo. it is advisable however ,due to recoil, to lock the wheels and fire from a stationary position, this is mandatory for the 20mm vulcan variant. a .30 model is available for those desiring a rollator that can be fired while on the move and a special order 5.56 model is available for wimps... the 'Cherokee' model in woodland camoflage, with optional large diameter knobby tires may be more suitable than the Lakota for some.
i prefer the 'Blackfoot' (tm) model myself, the active camouflage and the 5in. autoloading recoilless rifle, with it's parallel mounted semi-auto caseless .50 sniper rifle and computerised battle scope makes picking off not only individual zombies, but larger groups , a cinch. it's high speed (2 mph) mode is a real winner, as are the ceramic disk brakes.
especially useful for anti-zombie activities, if you can't be seen, they won't know where to attack. their sense of smell of course, stinks. the totally enclosed and armoured operator cabin, with it's inbuilt toilet and mini-bar, along with a useful microwave oven and fridge and reclining memory-foam bucket seat is a recommended option. it is of course supplied with HEPA filtered ventilation and a full active external NBC system. it's CI (combat intelligence) quantum microprocessor and tactical net makes joint operations with naval and air units in 3 dimensions a joy. set the systems on auto defence/offence and lean back with a beer and enjoy the battle on it's 32in. shock mounted lcd screen! (a 'blackfoot' is a pain in the you-know-what to push tho. - especially at high speed mode, they ought to make a self propelled model). external 'metal storm' automated self defence pods linked into the CI and it's sensor systems will be available in the fall.
