Then scroll through BF and see how few pics there are of hard use and/or pricier knives that look like they have seen any use.

Maybe YOU should do that. You will see how many people use their sprints and limited edition knives. Just because they don't batton with them doesn't mean they don't use them.

But then you are diverting the issue, are you afraid to carry your pricier knives? I do carry my blue and grey para mostly. I also carry my ZT 301. And they get used. Maybe they aren't as pricey as a seb or a strider but they are a bit off from your $20 range. I do have an extra grey and blue para as pre need replacements because I like those so much and it would be a waste to not use them. I'm also working on getting a backup brown millie and a backup M390 millie because I use the ones I have.

Oh BTW, most people take pics of their knives when they are new and still relatively unused. For people who really use knives often, it would be a waste of time to bring a camera to work and stop working to take pics.

This is also a vid of me beating on(albeit not too hard) on a Les George Fixed VECP. I dunno what they cost since they are not available now but I used this knife while I was building my house just last year. It did a lot of duty. The only reason I'm carrying a $15 EL-01 is the gunban here with the major possibility of confiscation.

I have the need quite often to cut tons of cardboard at work, and a box cutter works ten times better than anyyhing else out there. Yes some steels outperfom others, but I'd bet 95 percent of people on here do not cut enough with their EDC carries to ever notice

I carry both because the box cutter is pretty much useless most of the time except in certain situations, it depends on use.

I use my more expensive knives also.
 
Thanks for playing, but this thread is way off of what I had intended for it to be. It has become yet another interweb pissing contest where no one's opinion is changed on either side. Have a good weekend
