Anyway, I'm fine. accidentally put my hand through some glass. Got the artery and some muscle but no tendons, thank god. I kept my composure and held my own brachial until the medics got there.

on a side note, I felt amazing yesterday afternoon. And not just because of the pain killers. Being a Firefighter, I had LEO, FD, and medics all at my house in no time. Medics actually logged response time was :03. lol 3 seconds. they rolled when I got on the radio to call it in. It felt amazing to have so many people care enough to come to your aid. I felt bad, some of my boys looked pretty rough seeing me in that shape.
 
OH, MAN!!! That had to hurt just a little bit!

It's amazing how quickly the cops and firefighters respond when they find out it's one of their own.

Get well and heal quickly, brother.
 
Dang. You've got me beat by a good bit there. And thats saying something.

actually didn't hurt even a little. Well not until the surgeon went to poking around and then quickly after that morphine and local kicked in.
i honestly was touched by how many people came. They got me out of the ER fairly quickly too because there musta still been 10 people standing at my door. They cleaned up all the mess and took care of my dogs and even brought my wifes car to the hospital.

I was pissed at my mountain bike. I didn't punch the door, but I smacked it going out and my hand went straight through. Definetly acting like a "real man". lol Maybe I'll learn one day.

Glad you're okay. Unfortunately, you'll have scars to remind you not to be mad at a mountain bike.

But don't we all?

Yowsers! How many shots of (lanacaine?) before they sewed you up? I think those are as bad as th stitches. And how many stitches too?

I lost count after 10 shots. it was 50 plus stitches. They don't charge by the stitch any more so I had to count myself this morning.

wife called 911, but it sounded like "BABAHAHAHAHAHAhahahAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALALALALAL" only more like a Banchi. So I got my Fire radio and and radioed it in. I used my injured right hand and keyed it up with my thumb. Wasn't too hard. Don't event think I bled on the radio. Ha I had Chaco's on, my toes were freakin' stuck together from so much blood on them.
 
Well i hope you watched them how they done... For the next time you could do it your self.. All kidding aside, Just watch your self next time. Glass can be much worse then any knife out there for cuts. what i would like to know is what the mountain bike did that you got sooo pissed???

ha. long story short, Bike I really can't afford, finally paid it off lay away. Broke it first time out. $3500 worth of mountain bike and I barely made it one mile. Then I though it was a $25 rear drop out bracket, and I was gunna get out cheap. Then I found more broken stuff. All this 15minutes before I'm suppose to ride. I was gunna swing by the bike shop, but after checking the web site, it was closed. That was when I got pissed. Oh well. Stupid is as stupid does.

That is nasty! I'm glad you are OK and won't lose any vital functions. Now you have to come up with a better story than glass. Mac
 
Well if chicks dig scars you're in great shape. and don't worry your friends at the fire dept won't ever bring this up again. dude you'll hear about this from now on. now when was that last tetanus booster. heal quickly.
 
Man oh man that's a good one. It think it even beats the compound fracture that I had when I was younger. Man good luck and get well soon.
