I couldn't wait for Jerry to make a FOLDER any longer........

very cool - I reckon the SR-1 from Lionsteel comes mighty close to a Busse like folder. I'll post the review link on the forum

Looks good to me Ducci, so when do the orders start shipping out. Oh yeah i guess two weeks huh? :D

Awesome work! What did you use to cut the INFI?

.

I used a abrasive cutoff wheel on my Dremel tool. It machines and drills well with carbide cutters or drills. The rest is finished with the KMG knife grinder.

I fixed it for ya! :D

Seriously though, that is very impressive! Great work!

My only concern is how does it stay closed if you bump the spine in your pocket or where ever and does it interfere with your hand in opening it?

Very very nice. I personally would have preferred carbon fiber but I'm partial to it.

Dude you know the little hole in the little nub as you call it? The hole yet unused? You could drill a hole in the scales where you insert a pin to keep it locked in the open position. Will definitely work and will be very strong. The pin can be attached to a lanyard so you slot it in when you need it.

I don't think I would pocket it and if I did carry it, I would probably have a sheath made so I didn't have to worry. It is a friction folder, so you can adjust how much tension is on the blade with the pivot pin, even with just a small amount of tension, it stays shut pretty well. I'll post a picture later of a small friction folder that the knifemaker has tied a clever lanyard that fits around the exposed bar to keep it closed. It isn't ment to be a fast deploying blade, so having the pivot somewhat tight is a good thing. In the close to 50yrs I have been carrying pocket knives (slip joint, liner lock, frame lock, axis lock, autos, etc.) I haven't had any open in my pocket yet. The only problem I have had is with Emerson folders that have the "Wave feature", (with me at least) if I don't pull the knife out of my pocket fast to make the "Wave feature" deploy the blade fully to lock open, it only opens part way and I have cut myself because I didn't realize the position of the blade. I like Emersons a lot, just not the waved ones.

Here is a picture of the little friction folder I mentioned. It has a clever lanyard that wraps around the tail of the blade, works well.

That's a great looking folder. Seems like the perfect knife to mod for your project too.

now, if you can start buying up all the scotch dispensers, and go into production... you could make a fortune! :) nice looking blade: I would hope that the real Busse folders would look as good as The RandBucce

'Ducci--Hello, big boy! ;) That is certainly the most wonderful FOLDER I have seen in a very long time! And love the slabs!

You just do incredible work!

Sorry, no orders, I would need Scotch Dispensers, handle take offs, and most of all, more extra time than I don't have. :(
