I did it! I finally did it!

I remember when I lived in San Francisco and saw your inventory at the time I almost passed out. You under 100 Busses yet? I think I sold/traded you a 1/300 SHBM. Good to see you here. (My original join date was 1999.)
I just had computer glitches along the way. :)

I think that belonging to the group is more about the combination of interest, desire and involvement in the forum than in simple possession.

Buying is always tough in the beginning, you look at photos, listen to/read the stories but get little opportunity to hold/handle use the knives.

14 years ago, you also had an indeterminable wait (two weeks) that usually lasted 6 months to a year and sometimes two.

Nowdays, nearly instant gratification (two actual weeks) is a very real possibility.

Advice for when you receive your knife:

1- Remember, using a knife alters the appearance, This is supposed to happen, scratches, possible edge dings, Dare I say it? Even rust.

Do not get caught up with keeping the knife "Pretty" Every mark you get on your knife will have a story.

Have a little Fun with your knife, practice using it for different tasks, including Kitchen use.

Do no be afraid of your knife getting Dull, if you use it, it will happen, learn how to sharpen INFI
(it is a little different than steels you are already used to sharpening)

Oiling your knife is a good idea, it is not actually Stainless, wiping the blade at the end of a day of use does have merit.(there are those here who wax and polish their knives, it is not necessary)

You do not actually have to have a Diaper made of the softest cloth for a Baby's butt to rub your knife with.

Will there be a tracking number when it finally ships so I can check on its whereabouts every five minutes?

I thought the knife I got from you was an A-2 Birds Beak SHSHII, in trade on either an INFI SHSHII or a BME

If I traded you out of a One of Three hundred, then I met you on the road some where to make the deal and you had covered the Factory Busse Dropleg High Desert Lowride with Elk Skin.(I kept that knife as my own until just two years ago, and I know right where it is)

It's been exactly three weeks since I placed my order. The anticipation is killing me! !!!!
