I don't care...

I was at my dad's house yesterday for a visit and could hear him and my sister talking in the next room. They knew I was there but people in my family have a hard time gauging how loud they're actually speaking.

The conversation they were having went something like this.

Dad: I'm going there tomorrow, what the hell is it called again?

Sister: Emersons. He likes Emersons. Ask them for something called the Emerson Commander.

Dad: why is it called the Commander?

Sister: There are a bunch of different models, that's the model name I reckon.

Dad: Jesus!

Sister: Oh. And I remember him saying that he prefers plain edge. He's been very specific about not wanting serrated models. I'd recommend even looking at a different model should they only have serrated versions of the Commander in stock. Look for something else that has a plain edge, just, for the love of god make sure it's an emerson brand knife.

Dad: I better write this all down.

LOL!!!!

Well heres the story. I thought I found an all-black Roadhouse on a well known online knife store. Upon receiving it with my new knife-giddyness I realized that it was the Super model. Not a bad fit for my XL paws, but a big effing knife. Long story short: it was returned and i'm getting the regular sized stonewashed roadhouse in the mail (most likely next week). So now I wait...

If I ever need a knife that size i'll turn to a fixed blade. But yes as soon as they receive my return they will ship out the normal Roadhouse.
Might be a couple months before I buy another blade. Time to put the ones I have to good use.

You can do it! It took me quite some time and a few knives to go through my hands to find my favorite. The Emerson covers all bases; simple and tough! My Tuco is my all time favorite custom.
Do you have a fav fixed blade?
Good luck man.

I have a bowie gifted to me years ago that is supposedly hand-made, but who knows. I can appreciate the quality and design of them but they don't get used often so they don't interest me as much as folders.

Yep. The folder is the way to go.
I wear a FB once in awhile for the heck of it.

A little over 6 months ago I didn't own a single Emerson. Next week my collection will consist of:

Horseman
CQC 7V
Mini CQC 15
Emerson Commander
Mystery Emerson that my wife bought me for Xmas. (Persian, CQC 10 or Roadhouse)

I'm going to have a tough time deciding which one to carry.

With the exception of the mini15, all of those are on my list.
