I carry a knife( as a tool) I also carry a gun (also a tool) I tried to carry a cop but he was to heavy (and a tool)

Note: UK site. The same fools who gave away their guns, and can get prosecuted for defending themselves in a home invastion from known felons.

Well, that explains a whole lot of stupid, but I now feel endlessly bad for the people in the UK that actually care for their liberties. Still, this site is good for one thing: It's freaking HILARIOUS. If it weren't in the UK, I'd be tempted to call it a troll site! What are they gonna ban next, sharp sticks? Rocks? Extension cords? Pah, what nonsense! Do they eat with a fork and a weapon? They might be proud of not carrying a knife, I on the other hand... *holds up a Spyderco Smallfly.* :D

Please keep the political comments out of this thread. We have plenty of knife loving brothers and sisters across the pond that are probably more upset about this than we are.

Im putting together a limited edition run of idontcarryaknife.org tactical folders complete with blood drain grooves and stab depth gauge, free idcak wristband with every purchase!

wow,how ridiculous... knives are man kinds OLDEST tool,i carry mine everyday!!! i use it everyday!! people using their own fears and pushing them on others...ignorance...

65% of those who carry knives have used them against people?!?!?! what a war zone! in feudal japan, some samurai lived to a ripe old age and didn't even figure in a sword fight.

I agree that her conclusions are ridiculous, but it seems like she arrived at them at a rather young age after her brother was stabbed multiple times and died. Makes it a little more understandable, imo, even if she should obviously blame the person that controls the hand rather than the tool it wields.

If you don't carry a knife, then carry a hammer or a Glock...or both.

Yeah, but I don't really want to support that site. Might be a little too ironic ;)

From the website "Now available ‘idontcarryaknife’ wristbands!

They are ABSOLUTELY FREE!"
Will post pics of it as a lanyard when I get one.

On the site there is a long list of illegal knives (illegal in UK, I assume). I opened it and used it as a reference to add a few to my "must have" list.

Well, being the youngest member of my gang the Snakes, I carry knives for the older members, so I may distritbute them to said older members whenever those wannabe Turtles come around, but the police will never find them because they don't search me. I also carry one for myself, because I cannot fist fight well, and in my household, it is acceptable to carry a knife. Also, on the estate I live on, I feel that if I didn't carry a knife, my butler Alfredo would be the 'top dog', because he is older than me., and has a cool Italian name. Oh yeah, carrying a knife is a fashionable trend.

That's why I carry knives ,

Its funny how people rather fault an inanimate object and not the person commiting the crime. Like a knife magically grows legs and jumps out of a pocket and stabs people. Might as well ban cars using the same logic. Cars kill and injure 1,000s of people a day, but its not the drivers fault its those dang menacing cars! :p. I think my gun enthusiast friend said it the best "blame the finger, not the trigger".

If this country keeps going the way its going we could start seeing crap like this here very soon. You see it all the time with people talking about how they need a knife that "wont scare the sheeple." That just was not a problem 20 years ago. Everyone should have a knife and everyone should be able to have what ever sort of knife they want (Barring Felons of course)

Okay, this site just makes me sick. It seems like the people running this site and campaign need a serious reality check. Knives are tools and not weapons. You could stab someone just as easy with a pointy stick. I half expect this group to go after those next. I think they need to have a nice long talk with most of the members of this forum.

I can't speak for the UK but here in America, there are three main reasons to carry a knife:
1. A tool for the majority of people. I'd say around 95% people fall in this category from my experience.
2. To protect yourself from the crazy or...
3. You're crazy
The second and third IMO could be said for a firearm as well.

I laughed out loud at the section "why do people carry knives?" when it said

"To make themselves feel like a ‘top dog’ on the estate they live on."

Realllyyyy???!!? Comeon

I wonder how disappointed they be to discover that my knives have never cut anyone in anger, or in self defense. Have never been used in the conmmission of a crime, or to threaten. Instead they've been used to cut paper, rope, tape, boxes, wood, plastic, cable............ Wow, sounds like my knives are tools!

If I carry three knives, is that equal to 3 rungs on the social ladder or am I not getting this right
