Please take a moment to browse through this old thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1297193-Advice-on-a-recent-gec-purchase especially the first and last posts. I am in possession of the OP's original knife, a GEC 22 Magnum in Sea Glass Acrylic. To my judgement, for an EDC, there is nothing wrong with this knife. So I'd like to give it to someone. The catch; I want to give it to someone who doesn't own a GEC Knife. Hopefully to someone who has never owned a GEC, yet. It is VERY lightly used once or twice, has a wisp of Patina starting, but is otherwise in excellent condition. Not a Safe Queen but a user. Just post "I don't have a GEC" and your in. When the Giveaway gets bumped off the Front Page, I'll pick a Winner by Random Draw.
Good Luck.

Not an entry. But it was very generous of you to swap out a knife that was bought from another dealer and then give the knife away! That's like a double giveaway!

Absolutely!

Sweet little thing, too. Someone's in for a treat.

Thanks, Bob.

Okay, this may sound like a stupid question, but what is a GEC? What makes them sought after?

Great Eastern Cutlery. Great Build Quality, Traditional Patterns and Materials, Limited Availability. You're in the Giveaway! Good Luck.

I don't have a GEC. Much appreciated for the chance. Even if I don't win, thanks for doing this. Stuff like this is one of the many reasons this community is awesome.

Very nice Bob. I'm not in for a reason or two, but I appreciate your willingness to bring others into the fold. Thanks for all you do!

I don't have a GEC.
Almost bought one with my accordion money, but went with a Queen instead.
This one looks beautiful. Thanks for the chance.

Not an entry. This is an awesome idea for a giveaway. Everyone should own at least one GEC, even a "Friday Afternoon" GEC is better than most any traditional you can buy in the current market.

Not an entry either, but ya know Bob, I knew there was something I liked about you the day I met you at GEC, good stuff sir! :)

G2

Wow - thank you for your generosity, both on behalf of the previous owner of the knife, and also for offering it up to our community! I do not yet own a GEC, and would be honored to make this my first! Regardless, thank you very much!

Thanks Bob for your generosity times two! Not qualified to enter myself but this will certainly enlighten someone to the joy of GEC's ownership.
Great idea!!:thumbup::thumbup:

This is awesome and a very clever way to make sure this knife gets into hands of someone who could use it. Not an entry! I own a few GECs and really enjoy them all.

Not an entry. Good on you, Bob. It's kind of like dealing drugs, isn't it? You get the first one for free because they know you'll be back for more once you get a taste. :p

Seriously though, exchanging the knife out was a great gesture and giving it away is just one step further down that road. Very generous of you to do so.

Not an entry, but just wanted to say this is a wonderful GAW. Or, maybe it's more like trying to infect the healthy. Generous but slightly evil too.

Not an entry but this is one excellent GAW, because if you read the history behind it....It is straight off the porch generosity.
