I cut down the sheath on my PMIII. Compare with photos in post #25, you'll see I trimmed about 1/2" off the ears. It makes a big difference on the draw, I can get 3 fingers on the handle and it feels much more natural. I used a pair of scissors, then did a little bit of trimming around the edges with a my Bird and Trout. Will probably do the same on the PMII sheath at some point. The PMII has more handle sticking out with an unmodded sheath, so it's not as pressing.
Lol lol, I'm happy with her, and I hope it stays this wayYou can always get another girlfriend.
I also did this to my PMIII. See anything different?
Yes! Sort of. I trimmed the guard off with my Bird and Trout. It's just soft rubber. Didn't do it any favors in the beauty department, but it wasn't much of a looker to begin with. I made sure to leave enough so it would not fall out of the sheath. Makes it more amenable to wood carving, perhaps also easier to sheath/unsheath inside the pocket. Combat is my last concern for this knife, so I'm willing to sacrifice the full guard for ease of use.You ground off the guard?

I think that is just the color of sunlight that was not corrected by the camera.Don't know if it's my new phone but your entire knife; blade, handle & sheath look blue??
