I don't think Emerson gets enough love over here

I like the Emerson's but if I can get a top notch custom for the same price as the production models then I'm going custom. Plus I'm not a tactical edc kinda guy. I've had a couple Emerson's I loved them f&f was a little shotty and blade deployment wasn't exactly buttery but a good knife. Got a Kirby lambert custom and a joe Pardue custom responder for my tactical edc now I love both knives but I don't carry them as much as I carry my benchmade grip. Great knives are every where wether its spyderco,ZT,buck, queen, strider, emerson everyone has different needs and styles they like. May be not a lot of love for the Emerson's here but I don't see a lot of Emerson bashing either.

I think the best knife EKI makes is the 7a. Just bought a collectors club version with a little pimping. I gifted a desert tan to a friend of mine who is a quadriplegic after falling off his roof hanging Xmas lights while stationed at Fort Benning. So I bought another when I could. I do like the 7 didn't care for the HD 7 or the Comrade 12. I like the Super 8 too. I think EKI could tweak the design's a bit and offer more with Ti frame locks etc. Up grade the steel etc.etc. keepem sharp

That was a cool thing for you to do, bet he enjoys it. I have been thinking of doing the same for my buddy who just completed Army basic training. Reading this just confirmed my decision, Thanks.

BTW: this has turned out to be a decent Emerson thread. Not enough love here for EKI
