On another forum, I had a knife up for sale. On Nov. 20 a deal was made on a price for the knife. We ended the email with addresses (where to ship the money order and where I would ship my knife). I stated that I would ship the knife asap. I assumed that he would do the same with the MO. I shipped my knife on Nov. 22 via first class mail. On Nov. 28 I emailed the buyer asking about the money order. He emailed me back saying that he didn't ship the MO yet, but would do so "tomorrow". It is now Dec. 7 and I still don't have the MO. I don't think this person is trying to rip me off, but he may be a bit of a procrastinator. I emailed him today and I don't have a response yet. Once I hear back from him, I plan on ending this story.
I have traded knives on this forum around one hundered times and only had one questionable deal, which could have went both ways. On another forum I have sold quite a few knives. This is the only deal that I feel different on. I never asked the person his forum name nor do I know his age. Maybe I got a little sloppy with this sale. Funny thing is, this was the last of my "lower end production knives" that I had to sell. Will I learn a lesson here? Only time will tell. Any input would be appreciated.

Edit: we are talking about a $20 knife

One bad trade out of over one hundred? That's not a bad record. I'd consider myself pretty fortunate that it was an inexpensive knife. The way my luck runs, it would have been a Sebbie !! Just remember, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Marty :D

That happens. I've taken a few chances myself. But you're not the one who did anything wrong.

Good luck -- most of these delays do work themselves out. I think you're doing the right thing by withholding his ID at this point.

Well, still no money order. I emailed him yesterday requesting his name from bladeforums or the other forum. I also said that if he didn't have the money or if times were a bit tough, then we can work something out. Haven't heard from him yet. :(

Well now he is not replying to my emails. We made a deal on Nov.20th and still no money order. I emailed him today giving him until tonight before I give up his name etc......Anyone have any other ideas. I really don't like to give bad reps, but I don't want anyone else to deal with him.

after countless times of trying to get my money, he finally told me in an email to F@#K OFF. I will post more later of what went down, but here is his info.

His address was a post office box in Oklahoma. I have the exact one at home.

He said that he sent my money order via priority mail and would email me the confirmation number. This was promised three times and finally he sent me the email to F@#k OFF. Please do not do business with him. This was over a $20 knife. Hopefully he won't graduate to more expensive items.

What a scum bag this guy is. I guess it could be worse bring it was only a $20 knife. You should post the dirt bags name and e-mail so no one else gets scammed by him.

By the way, is this like saying, "That's OK, I QUIT!" after your boss says, "You're fired!"?
